"Can I see your ring, Toni?" My mother asked and I nodded while holding my hand out. Her eyes widened and I giggled. I sipped on my tea and then put the cup down.

"I'll tell you something right now and let me know if I'm correct." I nodded. "I think you only said yes to Keri because his family was there, you didn't want to embarrass him."

"How?"
"Because I'm your mother, I know these things. But I hope you said yes to Kenny because you love him and not because you didn't want to hurt his feelings."
"Yes, I did. Do you think we're moving too fast?"
"Do you think that?" I shrugged.
"We just started dating..."

"A mother knows everything." Just as I was about to speak, my phone rang. I smiled as I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey T, are you busy?"

"Oh okay, I just wanted to see if you could stop by the studio. Jimmy and Terry wrote a song for me but it's too sad, they wanted to see if you can record bits today."
"Umm yeah sure. How long are you going to be there for?"
"I just got here so I'll be here until late."
"Okay then, I guess I'll see you soon." We hung up the phone and I looked at my mom.
"Is it okay if I go to the studio for a while?"
"Yeah sure, I won't stop your work."
"I can come back if you want."
"No that won't be necessary." I nodded and said goodbye to my mother. I headed to my car and got inside. I arrived at the studio in about fifteen minutes and headed inside. I walked into the room that Janet was in and saw her pressing random buttons. A beat played and she screwed up her face.
