Nobody's POV
Brooklyn, NY

Nicole checked her mother's mailbox and looked through it. She saw a pink envelope along with a familiar name and address. She rose her brow and walked inside her mother's house. "Mom!" She exclaimed, walking further into the home.

"Yes, Nikki?"

"You've been in contact with Peyton?"

"You went through my mail?"

"I didn't open it."

"So? And yes I have been in contact with my granddaughter, she's still my granddaughter. I didn't abandon her—"

"I didn't abandon her, I'm coming back."

"Oh, so parents that are coming back for their children sign over their parental rights?" Nicole gasped, she didn't tell her mother that information. "You think you're my only source of information?" Sutton spoke, her country accent coming out.

"Mom."

"Nicole... if you weren't ready to be a mother, there were other options. If it was too late and you were pregnant, I'm sure Kenny would've understood. After all, it's your body your choice."

"Mom please, I don't want to hear that."

"You need to hear it. You hurt that little girl so much, you don't even know. What you did was so very wrong Nicole, I'm being honest. How would you feel if I did that to you? Yes, I write Peyton, and she writes me back the best that she can. If you don't like it then you don't like it, I'm grown and I can talk to my granddaughter whether you like it or not."

"Hey guys, I didn't know you set up an appointment with me today." Jackie said as she walked into the room that Toni and Kenny were in.

"Yeah, it was a last-minute decision. We want to start trying for kids and I just wanted to see if everything is okay with me."

"Yes! I'm happy for you guys. I'll take your blood and then I'll bring a sonogram machine to check your uterus and ovaries."

"Okay." Jackie stuck Toni's arm and collected her blood in the lab tube. Once she was done, she placed a bandaid over the wound. She grabbed a white sheet and handed it to Toni.

"This sheet is for you, you'll need to pull down your pants a bit and lift your shirt. I'll be back." She left out of the hospital room and went to the lab.

"What do you think her reaction is going to be?" Kenny asked and Toni shrugged as she did what Jackie asked her to do.

"I know she's going to be excited, probably shocked." Kenny nodded and placed the sheet over Toni's lower body, covering her. Jackie soon came back with the machine. She pulled up a small office chair next to Toni. She grabbed the gel and shook the bottle a bit. "Why do you need the gel?"

"It's my eyes. It's a connector that eliminates the air between the skin and the probe."

"Oh, I thought it was to help it move around the skin." Kenny said and they laughed.

"Some people think that." She squeezed the gel on Toni's stomach and moved the probe. "Okay so this is your stomach, and this is your uterus." She said as she moved the probe in circles. The machine was connected to a bigger screen in the room so that they could get a better look.

"Mmhmm."

"And this— wait." Jackie pressed a few buttons and gasped. "Toni! You fucking bitch!" Toni burst out laughing.

"What?"

"You knew you were pregnant already!"

"Surprise!" The couple exclaimed and Jackie was all smiles.

"This was a clever way, I liked that." She giggled. "Congratulations guys."

"Thank you, can we get those pictures?" Kenny asked and Jackie nodded.

"Of course."

Today is Halloween and Peyton is dressed up as Tiana and her parents are Tiana's parents. An annual Halloween party is held at Michael's house. "Daddy you look some."

"Handsome... and thank you, baby."

"Welcome, and mommy look very very pretty!" Toni giggled.

"Thank you." She pecked her lips.

"And me?" They laughed.

"You look very beautiful Tiana."

She blushed, "Thank you, daddy." The three of them loaded into the car and drove to Michael's house. Soon arriving, they got out of the car.

"Do you have your bucket baby?"

"Yes!" Peyton said as she held up her green Halloween bucket. Janet opened the door for them and hugged Toni.

"Hey, girl."

"Hey, you look cute."

"Thank you." Janet was dressed up as Catwoman. "You guys look cute too."

"Thanks." They walked to the back where everyone was waiting. "Oh, are we late?"

"Yes!"

"Very!"

"That was Toni's fault." Kenny blamed her and she laughed.

"It wasn't." All of the children were ready to go and look for candy in Neverland. "You better get all the candy baby." Toni said and Peyton nodded.

"I will, and I give you some and Daddy some."

"Thank you."

"Are you kids ready?!" Rebbie said and they cheered.

"Yesss!"

"Woooo!"

"No pushing, no hitting, none of that! Understood?!"

"Yessss!"

"Okay, three... two... one! GO!" All of the kids ran around Neverland collecting all the candy that they could find. Most times candy is still in the yard for the next couple of days and when Blanket and his siblings go outside, they find more candy.

"I done, it heavy now." Peyton said as she walked back to her parents who were talking amongst the other adults. She sat down next to them and grabbed two chocolate bars. "For mommy and for daddy."

"Thank you, baby, you're so kind." Kenny said and she smiled.

"Yes, I'm am."

"Hey guys!" Whitney said walking in with Bobbi and Paris.

"Hey, hey girls."

"Hi, aunties."

"You guys are hanging out with your mom today?"

"Mmhmm, the boys are with dad."

"Okay." Whitney, Janet, and Toni are at the studio working on an album together. They have a little group called Triple Essence and they release an album every once in a while. Since Janet is going through a breakup, ideas are quickly popping into her head. The three of them memorized the song before getting into the booth.

Whitney sang first, "Take a minute girl, come sit down and tell us what's been happening
In your face I can see the pain, don't you try to convince us that you're happy."

This song is called 'Girl' and it's about Janet's love life. She wrote her verse for the song and the two of them wrote their verse. Together they worked on the chorus.

"See, what y'all don't know about him is
I can't let him go because he needs me
It ain't really him, it's stress from his job and I ain't making it easy
I know you see him bugging most of the time
But I know deep inside, he don't mean it
It gets hard sometimes, but I need my man
I don't think y'all understand, I'm telling ya..."

There have been multiple red flags in Janet and Jermaine's relationship but she brushed them off and turned the other cheek because she was in love with him. If she hadn't ignored those red flags, she probably wouldn't be pregnant and debating on telling him or not.
