"Naki, this is going to be good for you. You can't simply do no extracurricular activities and expect for your resume to look impressive in the business world."

Dual toned eyes rolled in exasperation. "Father...what was the point of years of lessons and classes, to have all these extra skills that I don't even use? Now you tell me that not only do you want me to be an honor student, I have to join at least two clubs? This is college! My first year at that! I just want to get to know people and figure out my niche. Seriously, I just left the student council in grade school."

Leodonnis laid down his papers, "Look at you, taking initiative. Student council would be wonderful! Though I think they have a full roster...maybe I should call?"

Silver brows tilted over incredulous eyes, amethyst depths rippling with confusion. "Father, you are literally one of the two founders! How do you not know..." Naki looked at his father's handsome face. For his age he looked like a man barely in his 30s and only because of his sharp jaw and high cheeks. If not for that, one might think he also attended college. Despite the eerie and serious eyes and regal appearance...his father was a derp. An intellectual, savage, derp. "Nevermind, I cannot deal with you today."

Naki looked at his phone that had pinged. "Cerise is here in the car, I'm heading out."

"Good, tell Cerise I said hello. Really, he graduated head of class and you two are best friends. Let his studying rub off on you in classes, please. I'll ring the Head Master and let him know he'll have to find a role for you in the council." Leodonnis tapped his chin. "What was the council president's name again? They're smart too. Maybe if I surround you with smart people you will take classes more seriously.

Naki groaned, there was no point in trying to talk to his father right now. "When is mom coming home? You are driving me nuts alone. You have nothing else to focus on."

Leodonnis gave a forlorn sigh, "Ah, my beautiful cinnamon queen, I miss her so much. She got dragged into some girls' trip after a few of the Inferno sisters spotted her at the airport." Dual toned eyes widened, "I miss my baby!"

Naki's brows rose in shock and he shook his head, "Yeah, she has to hurry back. You are getting weirder by the minute."

"Ah that reminds me! Serinity Inferno's son goes to the school obviously, so seek him out and make a proper introduction. Since he is a third year you two haven't gotten to make proper introductions beyond the social parties."

"Father, just because his mother owns half the school doesn't mean I want to be his friend. Urgh, stop talking, I'll be late!" He rushed towards his father, giving him a peck to the cheek, "Bye, don't text all day because you are lonely. I'm officially 18 and I can't have people knowing I still hang out with my dad or give him goodbye pecs. It's not manly."

"If mom gets good-bye kisses, so do I!"

Naki hurried out of their lavish front door. They lived in a castle but so did many students at ICA. Well, castle-like structures. He slid into the already open door, landing unceremoniously on Cerise who accepted his hug.
