"Shimei, that dress is lovely," Bai Yusheng came to inspect, trailing around their long time friend. "The fit is perfect. Try a spin to make sure you won't trip." 

"I am very happy with it," Xiu Ying smiled as she followed Bai Yusheng's advice, giving a testing spin. The colorful fabric spun around her prettily, creating an ethereal effect of floating color. 

"The top could use a little taken in," Sylas remarked with a critical eye. "The bodice has a small gaping effect under the arms." 

"Would that make it too tight?" Bai Yusheng asked, their eye catching on the spot Sylas mentioned. 

"The fabric is flexible. I think it will be fine to fix it," Valges added, coming up to grab both of Xiu Ying's hands. "We want the lovely lead dancer to look her absolute best."

"You are all too kind. Thank you for coming to my fitting. It is nice to have company," Xiu Ying let the seamstress come up and picn the spots Sylas had noted. "Let me go change so we can continue shopping for accessories." 

"I would never turn down a good shopping trip," Valges caught Bai Yusheng's hand, winking. "Especially with such great company. I know the perfect jeweller in this district. He will make sure you shine on stage. Well, shine even more. Your dancing speaks for itself. " 

"The last performance for this season is always my favourite. We go all out," Xiu Ying thanked the seamstress and took a look in the mirror. "I do wish Bai Shixiong would come dance with us again."

"Perhaps when I am graduated. I have far too much on my plate right now," Bai Yusheng answered. 

"I suppose I will have to wait, then. Let me go change," Xiu Ying quickly made her way back to the changing rooms and Valges sat down, giving Bai Yusheng's hand a tug so that they plopped into his lap. Bai Yusheng blushed, but Valges just wrapped his arms around their waist. 

"Doll, I want to get you something nice at the jeweller while we are there, will you allow me to spoil you?" Valges kissed up pale cheeks.

"You always buy me pretty jewels," Bai Yusheng replied with a flushed look, their fingers playing with the ring on their finger from Sega.

"You can never have too many options," Sylas plopped down and crossed his short legs, patting his perfectly done bob. "But Valges, you both have a selection of rich men. Why have I only noticed one new ring? Do I need to knock some sense into those idiots?" 

"I love my partners, but I think only one is jewelry and accessory savvy," Valges teased, his cheek resting against Bai Yusheng's back. "Saalah and Aiden are much more into a simple aesthetic. Less frill. It's hopeless with them, but they are charming." 

"I based it on your coloring," Naki huffed from just outside the room. While the others were used to seeing others undress...well he was used to it to and Xiu Ying had a room to change in...Okay, he was avoiding as much frilly talk as he could. He just wanted the free food and maybe new accessories. He was getting into the street fashion look. "I couldn't pick something that would match everything. It'd have to be magical."

"That could be arranged," Valges called out happily. "But what about you hun? Valas is really gone now right? The Forest is riddled with gossip and a bit of chaos. My uncle suddenly said the main Family would be on at least a year's vacation. I mean my family knows it's BS. It was just solidified seeing the castle empty."

"Yes," Sylas squeezed Valges' hand, "I guess here I can admit I held an innocent optimism but it's been 2 weeks. This is what I get for entertaining the same person to the point where I...miss them." Sylas said the word as if it were poison. "Having an allowance is nice."
