"That'll be enough, Aesmond. I no longer desire for you to hunt Sega and bring him to me. You've seemed to have gotten sloppy. If anything you emboldened him to snap at me more."

Leiodus had his legs stretched out over his desk, bourbon in one hand, a book in the other. "I told you to handle it quietly but you ripple annoying waters. You have displeased me rather quickly." 

Leiodus' sighed. "I expected too much from you after letting you sit idle. Your touch is not what it was when you were active. I think you need proper assignments again. I'm sending you to do work."

Aesmond's expressions usually didn't budge much, but his expression did change. "I was not aware that I was no longer up to your standards. When you asked me to hunt and retrieve, it was not with the information that he ran with a close knit pack now. Before when you asked me to train him, he was only singular, it was no effort on my part. He merely ran with troubled company so bending his mind was simple. Currently it's no longer the case and even you know it, Your Highness. In order for me to bring him back to you, I have to run off the mutts hanging around. My Black's ability, mental manipulation, did I not settle his misdeeds before? I can do it again but they have to go."

Leiodus lowered his book, looking at Aesmond with an equally blank expression. "I suppose my words are unfair to you. You are doing what you do best, breaking things quietly. I was not aware of the extent in which this," Leiodus grimaced, "relationship of his runs. If there weren't other names attached, you could bite and piss on who you pleased. Of course Sega is still my blood and he takes after me even if he wishes to deny it. He's sought out the right armada to surround himself with. Not even I can knock down those walls without repercussions. Sadly the spikes he's armed himself with can actually cut.  Instead I'm seeking another route, he will come crawling back. He will have to, he's spent too many years trying to fight his birthright. It'll eat at him slowly until he cant take anymore."

"And my payment? Am I to be with nothing, Your Highness?"

"Your payment is equally disgusting to me as my son's behavior. The first time I needed drastic measures to show him the error of his ways. You should seek an alternate obsession if you are that starved, Aesmond. Alas a deal was a deal. Sit quietly and behave. If Sega breaks sooner than later, even he would be desperate enough to seek comfort from his obsessive stalker. You can only snag him when his mind is broken. That is on you to seek what you desire in the miniscule time you have." Leiodus returned to his book, taking a sip, "but when I fix him, know that you will be done with your perversions."

Aesmond knew when he was being dismissed by now. He gave a bow the King couldn't see and exited the room. He stood silently outside the door, head bowed as black overcame his eyes.

There was only one thing he wanted. Only one reason to be on this planet full of vermin. The King wanted to take that away from him? His body trembled.

So Sega could be his if he was broken?

That could be arranged far too easily. Sega would be taken away if he were fixed? That wouldn't do. He'd have to shatter him so thoroughly that nothing would fix him... after all he worked best with broken minds.

"Baobei look at you, did you really dress all on your own? Leo was exceptionally proud and let us all know." Bai Yusheng adjusted the collar of Naki's gray vest sitting crisply against a silvery shirt made of a silky material. His pants were a slightly darker color with a black belt at Naki's tapered waist. Naki wore his shining silver ring on its chain, the band had perfectly amethyst studs around the entire band. Naki let Bai Yusheng tuck away his wayward bangs like they did best. He'd combed his hair and even tried to set the naturally feathered locks but it was usually hard to tame.
