"Don't go out I'm serious, you said your father can't fly in until later. We have to be at the debate tournament but after, Saalah's mother will join us to go over security footage. Are you still up for testifying?"

Naki yawned, he was barely awake but he promised Sega he would call before they had to silence their phones. "Mm I know, guards are doubled anyways," two of them even stood outside his door now. "Dad's really serious about this, Kial said he was already on thin ice in the Matriarch's territory for his violent temper." He rubbed sleepy eyes, "let me talk to Gege before you go inside."

"Always with the Gege," Sega's voice trailed off and a different voice sounded in his ears, "Shidi you woke yourself up, I'm proud of you."

Another yawn escaped Naki, "only because Cerise called the house phone and yelled at me. Everyone is busy today right, Saalah and Aiden went for special training and Li Jun, Xiu Ying, and Cerise are assisting with the debate competition?"

"Yes Shidi, we are sorry it's a hectic day, we know you could use some company. It's the weekend after today, and Sega said something about a bet? We can all settle in and spend some time together... finish our locker room talk."

Naki sucked in a breath, he had almost forgotten. His cheeks flamed though no one could see it. "Bai-Bai Gege I'm falling asleep again, I'm going to let you guys go inside, I wanted to wish you both luck!"

Bai Yusheng chuckled on the line, they could hear the quiver in the husky voice. "Okay Shidi, don't forget breakfast and get rest, you might have a tough night telling the authorities."

Naki told them goodbye, huffing and kicking his feet on the bed. "I can't believe I told Sega I'd come and spend the weekend with everyone. My mind is all over the place. Everyone took such good care of me and now I just want to lay in all of their arms all day. What is wrong with me? I can't like this many people at once."

A ping came to his phone and he eyed the unknown number. 

[Your shit is at my lake house. I was going to take you there but you showed me your true colors. Go get it so I don't have to see you ever again. Don't shame our clan.]

Naki's hand shook as he gripped his phone, what a jerk! The nerve of him contacting him! He was a day away from being a criminal!

Naki texted Cerise, he knew his friend was helping but he would probably make helping Naki a priority. He had a lot of clothes and his laptop at Luxiem's place. Cerise text back surprisingly fast.

C:[Coming Soon. Meet me in the car. Bai Yusheng sent you breakfast.]

Naki perked up, the house had two cooks but they wanted to make everything gourmet and sometimes he just wanted fast food that tasted greasy and delicious. Naki quickly slid on some shorts and a tank top, slipping on his shoes. He peeked out the window and sure enough Vee and Seffe were poised outside.

They were two of his favorite guards but if his father said he was to remain inside, they wouldn't fall for the puppy dog eyes. He moved to his lavish bathroom, his bedroom was massive and his bathroom was no different. He had a double arched window with a ledge he could sit on. Outside thick vines grew up the walls and he used to sneak out when he was punished.

It was a windy day and the trees rustled loudly, since his bathroom angled around the house, he could climb out without being noticed. The sound of the leaves helped to hide him rustling down the vines. Naki caught sight of the delivery man and waved them over through the gate. "That's for me, I'll take it." He received a funny look but the young guy looked like he just wanted to be off to his next stop so he gave Naki the food and warm cup.
