"Master Bai, that plan you proposed to the Demonic Council was a risky one! I was sure they were going to go to all out war just moments before. How do you manage to be so calm and collected in the face of such aggression?" A group of young Fae heirs were surrounding Bai Yusheng as they stepped from the quickly emptying council room. They had been swept away from their fiance as soon as the meeting had ended. Many of the younger members looked up to Bai Yusheng for their gentle yet outspoken nature and the respect they had garnered from the older generations present.

Saalah was used to Bai Yusheng being taken off with, choosing to stay and help Serinity and her sisters with the many moving parts of the shift in Demon territories that had been decided on. The shift would cause magical disturbances that they would have to prepare themselves for, living between the veil as they did. Besides, he knew exactly who would be seeking Bai Yusheng out as soon as the meeting ended.

Sega would take care of them, of that he had no doubts. He glanced up, seeing Sega finish up his chat with his dour father, turning on his heel and taking off after Bai Yusheng's scent. He smiled, their little group had finally begun to explore each other.

There had been many questions answered, many hearts opening. He knew that Bai Yusheng and Sega needed this time together. Of the group, those two had had the rockiest start, but now that it was behind them they had truly grown to be fond of one another. Still, it wasn't often they had alone time, and this date they had planned could help them both take the next step in their relationship together.

Serinity drew his attention back by squeezing his hand, and he turned his eyes to the current predicament that was laid out before him, settling his mother's nerves before adding his voice to the discussion.

"Senior Bai," Sega's voice had a pleasant hum to it as he stepped into the gossiping circle of Fae and other beings who had wandered in. Bai Yusheng was truly popular here, but their eyes...Sega smiled without thinking as their eyes lighted on his, their personality truly shining through.

"Sega, come, sit for a moment. We were just discussing the Shiva and Sha treaties that were proposed. It was quite an interesting part of the discussion," Bai Yusheng fluttered their fan and lashes, amusement making their eyes crinkle. "King Vyjas seemed to curb his temper a bit better this year. Your father must have spoken to him before the meeting."

"You should see when it is only Shiva and Sha together," Sega replied with a laugh, sitting beside Bai Yusheng. "That is a real show to watch." The two had to change before they went out for the evening, but Sega was not rushed. They had time before their reservation, after all. He had expected this meeting to be an hour longer than it had been.

"King Leiodus seemed much more relaxed this morning," one of the littler Fae spoke in a hushed whisper.

"As if soothed by a woman's touch," another spoke, their strange white eyes glittering with laughter.

"Hush now, gossip of that kind is shameless," Bai Yusheng chastised, the whole group looking apologetic. "What the King does in his free time is not ours to ponder. Be grateful he did not bring up the issue from the last conference of wishing to venture into the unclaimed territory near the Fae barrier.

There was a collective gasp, and the group gave quiet apologies, their eyes flickering to Sega who sat beside Bai Yusheng casually and unperturbed. His hand slid slyly behind Bai Yusheng's back, his fingers walking along their lower back through their lovely robes, tugging slightly.

"Senior Bai, we should get going. Excuse us, but I am stealing the lovely Young Master from you all before our reservations are up." Sega helped Bai Yusheng up, offering his arm to them and guiding them away from the crowd they had gathered around them.
