Ravencall looked over at Firestar, pinning her ears as if asking permission to go check on Nightbreeze.
Jaggedrock's eyes widened. "What do you mean gone?" He blurted out.
Firestar nodded at Ravencall and with a wave of his tail dismissed the meeting.
"You heard me!" Nightbreeze hissed, more angry with himself.
Ravencall leaped off the rock and walked towards Nightbreeze. "What do you mean she's gone?" She asked calmly.
"It's my fault," Nightbreeze murmured, proceeding to sit up. "I'm so sorry. I tried to look for her but- but- the rain- it washed out her scent trail and-"
"Otterpaw is okay," Moosepaw meowed quietly as he made his way to them. "But perhaps it is your fault."
Ravencall listened to him, only looking over as Moosepaw came over. Her ears twitched. "Get some rest Nightbreeze." She told him cooly.
Nightbreeze pinned his ears at Moosepaw's statement and then even more at the tone of Ravencall's voice. He looked around himself before he vanished into the warriors' den without a word. Ravencall padded back towards the clearing, nodding at Jaggedrock before sitting down. She sighed softly, pinning her ears slightly.
Moosepaw watched her mother. He let out a soft sigh and padded farther into the clearing, stopping at Jaggedrock. "Congratulations," he murmured quickly.
Ravencall turned her head to the sky, letting out a soft exhale. "Brambleshade what do I do?" She whispered.
'Trust her,' Brambleshade whispered. 'Trust us. You're not alone.'
Ravencall looked up at the sky and let out a soft sigh. "May StarClan light her path." She whispered before she began preparing the patrols.
Almost a moon had passed, and Firestar was gathering some of his Clanmates in the clearing. It was time for another Gathering. He narrowed his eyes when he saw Sunbeam with Strike again. He looked around at his gathered Clanmates. "I suppose there's all of those I chose. We can set off." He looked at Ravencall.
Ravencall was sitting down in the clearing. "Lead the way, Firestar." She told him before padding after him.
Eagleeye walked next to her, glancing at her for a moment before continuing. Ravencall kept her eyes forward, praying to StarClan that Otterpaw would be unharmed. She trusted StarClan, she didn't trust outsider cats. Firestar led his Clan towards Fourtrees, stopping at the top of the hollow to draw in the air. WindClan seemed to be the last Clan to come. He then trotted down the slope to the clearing, trotting over to Leopardstar.
Ravencall trotted down into the clearing, and her eyes found Goosetail. She bounded over and purred, nuzzling her. "It's good to see you," Ravencall whispered.
"You too, deputy," Goosetail giggled.
Mistyfoot walked over to Ravencall and Goosetail, her tail drooping and her head held down. "Good to see you, Ravencall."
Ravencall looked over at Mistyfoot, dipping her head. "It's good to see you too, my friend." She replied with a purr.
Ravencall turned her head, excusing herself before padding over to Tallstar. "Thank you, for protecting her."
Tallstar dipped his head in respect before he looked over at Otterpaw with a little smile.
"Mom!" Otterpaw smiled, purring and rubbing against her.
"You got so lean." Ravencall smiled at Otterpaw and licked her head a few times
Nightbreeze stepped back when Ravencall trotted over to Otterpaw, still not sure if he was welcome.
