Brambleshade jumped back when the trap shut. He was watching Firestar with pure anger in his eyes and he sprinted towards the orange tom.
"You!" Brambleshade growled, leaping onto Firestar. The tom mewed, the two cats were rolling on the ground together.
Mistyfoot glanced at the fight before she rushed to the trap. "We have no time for that, we have to get her out!"
Goosetail rushed over to the trap. "How do we get her out??" She asked frantically as the lights illuminated their pelts.
Ferret's tail tucked under her belly. "Just run!" She told them.
Mistyfoot looked around hersef, her eyes widened. She tried to open the cage for the last time, unsuccessfully. "We'll come for you!" she mewled before she turned around, running into a safe place.
"Brambleshade!" Mistyfoot called and the brown tom ran after her.
Firestar snuck towards the trap, staying hidden and watching the situation. The Twoleg voices got louder as they began trying to get the cats to scatter.Ferret bristled, staring at the twolegs with absolute terror. Her ears flattened against her head.
Ferret's claws unsheathed as a Twoleg bent down to grab her but got distracted by something. Out of the corner of her, she saw a familiar orange pelt. She bristled to twice her size.
Ferret wiggled in the cage. "Firestar." She spat.
Firestar walked out of the brush, fearlessly staring up at the twoleg. He walked closer to the twoleg, glancing at Ferret. He sat down, looking up at the person with sad, hungry eyes.
Ferret's eyes widened when Firestar sat down. The Twoleg bent down to lean closer to Firestar. "What're you doing?!" She hissed at Firestar.
"Shut up," Firestar snapped.
Ferret was quiet. She watched as the Twoleg opened the trap. The second the door was open, Ferret slipped under it, not even waiting for Firestar. She sprinted away into the woods.
Ferret was extra jumpy, and she jumped when Brambleshade ran towards her. "Brambleshade!" She meowed, nuzzling up against him with a scared look on her face.
"You're okay," Brambleshade whispered, "you're safe." He nuzzled up against her.
Ferret let out a shaky breath with a nod. "Firestar... saved me." She whispered before she shook her head. "Come on, we have to go to camp!" She then sprinted back to camp.
"What brings you to us?" Leopardfur snarled, apparently still angry from the gathering.
Firestar straightened his back. "Ravencall. You lied about her death. Where is she?"
"My name is Ferret!" Ferret snarled, leaping into the camp. She stared at Firestar.
Stonefur stared at Firestar. He growled, moving to stand in front of Ferret.
"A different name doesn't make you less of a traitor," Firestar snapped at Ferret.
Brambleshade stood next to Stonefur, staring at the ThunderClan leader. "I think you should leave."
"I came to talk to Leopardfur, not any of you," Firestar said calmly, glancing at the golden she-cat.
Leopardfur flickered her tail. "Go bring Mudfur and the elders something from the fresh-kill pile," she told them. "And you, follow me." She turned around, walking to a less busy part of the camp, being followed by Firestar.
Ferret bristled at Firestar. She was about to say something but she held her tongue. She did as Leopardfur told her, fetching a bird from the fresh-kill pile before walking to the medicine cat den. "For you." She dropped the bird for Mudfur. "If you need anything else, let me know."
