Leaning slightly towards the main entrance of their school gate, Ni-ki was chewing a bubble gum, not really interested in whatever his friends were so excited to talk about, and that too early in the morning, clearly he wasn't a morning person, and when his eyes went to a corner of girls squealing and giggling while murmuring something in themselves which would have been perfectly fine only if it wasn't about Ni-ki, but unfortunately it was, he rolled his eyes in annoyance.
Of course they all were standing near the entrance just to admire his tall, leaned figure, especially when he was chewing gum like it was the most attractive thing a man can do.
Not to forget his hair being slicked back with hours of Ni-ki putting his efforts into because one time when he was sitting behind Yejin and her friends he heard her saying how all men should keep their hair in a gentleman way, something like exposing their forehead or yeah like that which made Ni-ki to wake up early just to have it perfectly styled.
He was still glancing around here and there, faking his smile, whenever his friends tried to drag him in their same lame conversation until his head jerked back instantly to the entrance on its own, and his eyes met with Yejin.
Finally after an entire two days, 48 hours and god knows how many freaking minutes he got to see her face again.
He stood up straight quickly and kept looking at her with a neutral expression which soon turned into disappointment when she broke their eye contact first. He thought that maybe now he was on her good side after the conversation they had in music class, especially when without any hesitation she made a playlist for him.
But come on it was Yejin he was thinking about, "No doubt she'll show any mercy to male species." Ni-ki's inner voice rang as he scoffed while smiling to himself.
Looking up at her once again, only to see her now smiling and giggling so brightly, as Sang hee appeared to join her as well, made his morning even brighter too.
He liked when she looked cheerful and always laughing with her girls, something he'll appreciate her friends for later in the future, for making her smile all the time.
He had his fair share of thoughts fighting within himself to approach her or not but at last, bidding his friends a quick bye he jogged a little as he started walking along with Yejin and Sang hee, who both greeted him with an utterly confused look.
"Good morning Yejin." Ni-ki spoke as he looked straight before giving a small smile to her which no doubt made both the girls to weird out at his sudden behavior.
