"Yejin-ah you're okay?" Jay frantically ran up to both of them as he quickly engulfed her in a protective embrace, but a little bit too tight to the point of suffocating her but seeing his worried expression she didn't feel like protesting either.
"Why did you text Jungwon like that?" Jay asked still not to let her leave his embrace as she ended up chuckling at his over protective response, and yet couldn't help but to feel safe, now that both Ni-ki and Jay were there for her.
"How come you are here? Besides, I asked Jungwon oppa to come, he shouldn't have made you worried like this."
Jay shook her head, as if reassuring her to not be bothered about these little details as he took her school bag and hung it on his shoulder, "You forgot Jungwon had a tournament today? He got worried sick seeing your text so he rather asked me to check up on you and to drop you home as well."
Closing her eyes at the realization about her obvious stupid mistake, Yejin let out a heavy breath, nodded, and bit her lip unconsciously, now feeling a bit embarrassed to worry all three of them just because she wasn't successful to keep calm enough and think rationally before letting the fear take over her.
Ni-ki's eyes kept darting between two of them as he stood there silently, his fist slightly clenching upon witnessing Jay engulfing his Yejin up so comfortably since he was also aware of the fact that how much Yejin look up to Jay, so his worriedness and protective instinct for Yejin right in front of his eyes made Ni-ki somehow- actually a lot jealous than he should admit.
Finally able to dart his gaze away from her figure, Jay registered the presence of the boy, and when he realized it was no one else but their Ni-ki, his eyebrows automatically furrowed in genuine confusion, especially seeing him in the same uniform as Yejin.
"Ni-ki? You both are in the same school?" Tilting his head in utter shock and confusion, Jay's gaze wandered between both of them, "Oppa you know Ni-ki?"
Yejin asked, her eyes widened too as if both Jay and her were equally surprised whereas Ni-ki avoided their confused stares, being the subject he never wanted to be part of, at least until his bond with Yejin is strong enough and more than as friends.
"Y-yeah I play basketball with him hahaha, what a coincidence!" With an obvious exclaimed tone Ni-ki laughed, patting Jay's arm as if he could, he'll run the speed out of hell from this awkward situation. "Hyung first take Yejin home, she's still bothered, we'll meet later together next time."
