𓏲ּ author's perspective  :

"Hey you got some height, care to join us?" A soft voice echoed in Niki's ear as he looked up at the boys staring at him, more of like adoring him.

*I'm not a baby, what's up with their mother-like gaze?* Ni-ki thought as he weirded out a bit but reluctantly stood up, absolutely towering all of their figures combined, earning cheering from the six boys who looked like they wanted to adopt him at all cost.

Unknowingly a smile formed as he joined them and now played basketball for hours with them in the court.

Panting, running out of breath all seven sat on the ground now laughing as they shared a look to each other. The game was indeed intense and it all felt so natural playing with them.

"Isn't it so weird that we played for hours straight and still haven't introduced each other." A pale, almost vampire looking guy remarked as Niki was surprised to see his fangs as all of them laughed at this.

"I'm Sunghoon." He said as he extended his hand to Ni-ki, to which he accepted gladly.

"Nishimura Riki." He replied, "But I prefer Ni-ki though." He winked along with a smirk, as the six of them nodded and smiled at this.

"Jay. Short for Park Jongseong." A warm pat on Ni-ki's shoulder was felt as he smiled widely, "He's the dad of our group." Sunghoon chimed in, as Jay rolled his eyes.

"Can tell from his lame dad jokes." Ni-ki commented in between as it cracked up everyone and the soft, welcoming pat soon turned into a hit from Jay, "Yaah watch your mouth you giant." He said as the group started laughing even more.

"Heeseung."

"Sunoo."

"Shim Jaeyun, but Jake will work."

"Jungwon here."

They all introduced themselves one by one to Ni-ki as he took the information in.

"You're new to Korea?" Asked Sunoo to which he simply nodded.

"Moved here with my sister, guess I have to permanently shift here." He said casually, leaning backwards, relaxing his tensed muscles.

The boys simply nodded until Heesung cared to ask, "Then which university took you in?" Ni-ki eyebrows furrowed as he sat back straight looking confused, "I'm still in school though, repeating the last year of high school."

The group felt silence taking over as they all looked at each other exchanging glances, "You're in school? How old are you?" Jake asked.

"I'm 05 liner." Ni-ki replied, earning a subtle gasp from Sunoo, "I thought you were older, considering how tall and serious you look." Sunghoon commented.

"I get that a lot, thanks it didn't help." Ni-ki replied back with an eye roll making others chuckle.

"Oh wait I remembered from school, she baked cookies for after game, take some of it guys." Jungwon said as everyone suddenly got excited, making Ni-ki confused.

The first cookie was given to Jay as he took a bite, he nodded, simply impressed, "It's good." He said as he took a bite again, making Jungwon smile.

"She's learning how to cook to make an impression on you, hyung." He replied as Jay chuckled.

Ni-ki felt even more confusion as he leaned a bit and took one of the cookies and had a bite, his mouth instantly flushed with sweetness and with the warmth of it being freshly baked.

Jay thought it was only good? Screw him, a dumbass critic. It tastes so sweet.

After they were done and was getting up to now make a leave Ni-ki finally asked, not able to control his curiosity even for a second.

"Heesung hyung, who were we talking about though?" Earning a look from everyone, Heesung chuckled.

"It was Jungwon's little sister who baked these cookies." Ni-ki nodded as he listened.

*So Jungwon has a little sister? Bet she must be cute looking.* Ni-ki thought as he smiled to himself.

*Even I want to play with his little sister who can bake so well.*

His thoughts continued as he could even make a faint figure of the small, little sister of his sister being a cat like Jungwon.

"Yejin, what about this year?" Ji Yoo said over the call, "What about it?" Yejin answered nonchalantly.

"Please we can't continue being single this year as well. I'm tired, okay?" Soo-ah spoke in between, "It's the last year of highschool anyways." Ji Yoo added.

"So you want these cockroaches to be the love of your life?" The two could feel Yejin's eye roll from the other end.

"Just make a crush, and this year will be gone in a blink." Mi-cha commented as the four girls were desperately tired from crying over the same topic again and again.

"Says the one who's been rotting over the same boy for two years." Yejin muttered as the others laughed at her words, making Mi-cha annoyed than before.

"Well girls I'm gonna end the call, and I don't care, I'm gonna stick to my single agenda, you witches do whatever you want. Bye! Mwah."

Yejin herself wasn't nothing less than a witch either in her friend's eyes after the tont she bombed them with before hanging up as they all sighed and the call was cut not so later.

"Just this year Yejin, I believe in you. Hwaiting!" Yejin spoke to herself looking in the mirror with a confident smile, as if the heart of her isn't lovesick for romance itself.
