Throwing her bag in frustration on the bed, Yejin let out a loud scoff recalling the events of today all together.
From Ni-ki's smile towards Ha-Eun, to him drinking the beverage Ha-Eun offered from his serious gaze and cold tone he used towards Yejin for the first time, and that too so unapologetically as if he had any right to be strict to her in front of random people.
She hated that she was even bothered by the fact that Ni-ki looked comfortable and have been so friendly to Ha-Eun, even if it's because they both are close because of being athletes but still it somehow tugged her unbothered act in a negative way.
Caring about a boy or his endless interaction with girls had never been in her priority list let alone something she actually ended up ruining her mood for.
Sighing, she took out her phone and opened Instagram, now being met with several photos from her schoolmates of the event today and clicking on one of her friend's stories, her eyebrows furrowed in slight suspicion and irritation as she zoomed in on the photos.
It was a group photo of all the basketball players of their school in one frame, cheering and smiling for being the finalist and upon zooming she saw Ni-ki sitting in center, looking effortlessly cool despite the sweat and heat and behind him was standing Ha-Eun looking down at his sitting figure with heart eyes as Yejin's nose scrunched up on its own especially when she realized this photo was uploaded by Ha-Eun and the team members re-shared it on their stories.
Even in the next photo stood Yejin's friend, Ni-ki and Ha-Eun with Ni-ki on middle as Ha-Eun again was looking up at him, smiling like a lover girl, as she put on a Taylor's Swift song for background and with a caption above written,
"Excuse me @niki_nishimura you have no right to be this perfect!"
Yejin's eyes widened at the words as she scoffed out loud giving an unbelievable reaction towards the imaginary camera in her room. But soon enough she sat down and got humbled upon seeing the widened face of hers on the mirror in front.
Taking a screenshot of the picture, just so it could be used as plot in future, she quickly opened Ni-ki's account only to see him posting a selfie of him and Jaemin and another story was of his photo while goaling at the court, in between the match, and not a single post or even re-share of someone's else story making her a bit smile upon not seeing any trace of Ha-Eun's post on his feed.
Even she felt weird to be relaxed as if she should expect him to be away from other girls anyways but deciding to check her direct message on instagram before closing it, she fell upon the same account's uncomfortable texts again, this time she got a text saying, "You do realize I can see you ignoring me on purpose right Yejin-ah?"
