"Kiss me."

"No. Morning breath."

It was the same thing every morning. Minho would ask for a kiss and Jisung would deny saying it was because of a morning breath. And up until now, for the entire three years they had lived together, Minho had thought Jisung meant that Minho's breath stinks.

"Please"
"Minho, I said no. It still applies even though we are engaged." Jisung chuckled before sitting up on the bed and hurriedly walking to his and Minho's shared bathroom. He started thoroughly brushing his teeth so he could give his boyfriend his much desired morning kiss without a stinky breath.

The thing is, Jisung had for the longest time denied Minho his morning kisses, only because he thought his own breath smelled bad.
Around the start of their relationship, Minho had accidentally said that Jisung's breath stinks, after which Jisung started to religiously brush his teeth three times a day and started denying his boyfriend the morning kisses. Though he never said anything about it to Minho, because he didn't want the other to feel bad about it.

Now Minho obviously thought it was because of him and his breath. He did not remember what he said three years ago, so he obediently walked to the bathroom with Jisung and he too brushed his teeth while thinking about Jisung's odd 'No kiss in the morning rule'.

It was weird to Minho, because he really wanted to get the genuine morning kisses after having just woke up next to his fiancé and maybe squish his puffy cheeks while doing it.
"Can we kiss now?"
Minho begged looking at the younger who was still scrubbing his teeth clean.
"One second Minnie."

Jisung was finished and finally leaned in for a kiss. The kiss Minho had been waiting for since about ten minutes already.
"Finally." He whispered against the younger's lips as they were pressed gently on his own.
"Should we go eat breakfast now?" Jisung asked pulling himself away from from the older, but got quickly pulled back when Minho snatched his body back against himself and made the two fall on the bed.

"I never get my morning kisses, so we're now gonna lay here for a while just cuddling."
"Is that so?" A smirk lingered on Jisung's lips as he moved himself closer to Minho, snuggling his face on his chest.

"I love you."
"I love you too."

"Tell me love, why won't you kiss me in the morning?" Minho asked his boyfriend curiously as he pressed a gentle kiss on top of the younger's head.
"Because."
"Because what?"

The older had always been curious about it but never actually asked for an answer.

"Morning breath Minho."
Minho pulled away from the hug and looked at Jisung's face, "I don't understand. I brush my teeth daily and I floss too and I go to dentist annually, so there is no way breath can stink that bad?" He asked with a frown. He would just once want to kiss his fiancé in the morning just after waking up.

"Not your breath. My breath."
Hearing a sigh from Jisung's mouth the male got confused.
"You don't remember it, but three years ago during an argument, you told me my breath stinks."
Minho's frown only grew as he looked at Jisung's growing pout.

Minho himself didn't remember it, but knowing himself being able to verbally hurt someone in the heat of the moment, he could imagine himself saying something like that.

"You've thought of that for the whole three years?"
The nod Jisung made had Minho slightly shocked.
"Well I can tell you that I probably said what I said in the heat of the moment. I did not mean it and tomorrow morning I won't let you out of the bed before I get my morning kiss."

Now Minho had managed to pull a chuckle out of Jisung which immediately cheered him up as well.
Jisung went in for a hug and his boyfriend could almost visualise how a rock fell from Jisung's shoulders.

"I love you my sweet cheeks. And I am so sorry."
"I love you Minmin. You can kiss me in the morning."

Next morning Minho woke up before Jisung. He thought back to the conversation they had yesterday and couldn't believe his boyfriend had thought about his words for three years.
Minho noticed Jisung stirring awake and turned to look at him.
"Kiss me."
Jisung giggled and tiredly leaned in to give a kiss to his demanding but so loving boyfriend.
Minho mumbled a quiet "finally" against Jisung's soft lips as they kissed. He'd been waiting for three years and finally he got his kiss in the morning.

"You Han Jisung, are my entire world. I would run a marathon for you. I would give you my organs if you needed and I will peel your oranges for you."

Thank you for reading! This was on the shorter side but I like this. It has a nice meaning to it in my mind that you should always say nice things to people because they will  remember things years later.
I hope you enjoyed this.
