Double the cuteness

It was odd. How quiet the house was- considering there are eight people that lives there.
There was only a faint hum of the heater, crackling sounds of the fireplace and soft knocking of the wind on the windows.

No Felix's deep voice humming or Changbin's giggles echoing around when someone tickles him. No Hyunjin playing games with Jeongin or Seungmin's pencil scribbling on his journal and even less Chan tapping away on his laptop or Minho whipping the cream for their breakfast pancakes.

None of their scents lingered in the air either. No Felix's orange scent, no Chan's chocolate scent, no Minho's cinnamon that reminds Jisung of rice porridge, no Jeongin's toffee, no Seungmin's cardamom that reminds Jisung of buns, no Changbin's banana scent and most definitely not Hyunjin's minty scent that smells like toothpaste.

It was lonely in the house. Uncomfortably so. Jisung's parents died tragically in a car accident a bit over a year back, which is why the pack hadn't left him alone last christmas. But now that it's been a year and Jisung's second christmas without his parents, none of them asked him to even be a guest at their family house which kind of stung his heart, because he does- in fact get along well with all of their families quite well.

Jisung also being the only omega in the pack slightly wonders how they can so easily be separated from him, when he's home with a heartache- hoping for his mates to come home so he could give them his surprise.

The thing is, the omega had found out he's pregnant about three months ago and waited for the first three months to tell his mates, because the first three months are the most critical. And now that they aren't here, he can't tell them.

How did he find out he is pregnant? Well, his one sign was when he started nesting on their couch instead of his room. Jisung has barely any symptoms and there is no weird cravings. His biggest sign was the headaches he started having when he didn't get exactly eight hours of sleep. So he had gone to the doctor who took his bloodtests, made him take urine tests and then told him "congratulations! You're pregnant." "With twins, might I add." His tummy hasn't grown, about which he inquired his own doctor of and heard relieving news.
It's rare, but sometimes the pregnant omega's stomach doesn't stretch even if they are pregnant with twins.

When the first shockwave had passed, Jisung decided to wait the three crucial months so the risk of miscarriage is smaller and so he could surprise his mates with nice news, because he knew they're all ready for a new addition to the family and purposefully left out any birth control. And maybe he chose christmas to be the best time so he could use the news to give them as a gift.

But now they are not here and Jisung is alone on the couch with a mug of hot chocolate and the only blanket on his lap that has his mates' scents on it.

There was only faintly lit christmas lights lighting up the tree accompanying him.
He hadn't bothered cooking, because he would have to eat alone. Even if he was eating for three.

His belly was small and unnoticeable unless you stare at it with a ruler in your hands. Jisung himself had noticed a change in his strawberry milk scent with an added tone of lemons. The pack hadn't noticed because they can be quite oblivious. They hadn't asked about his heats either because they could be really irregular so they unfortunately come when they come.
