🧍🏻Seungmin x Jeongin + Felix as a kind of a major character :)

👉🏻Contents warnings: Blindness, sudden blindness
Not like love at first sight but kinda and lots of dialogue.
Probs angst too.

❗️Note: This is a fictional story. Therefore things regarding blindness, may not be accurate to the real world. ❗️

"Lix, I'll leave now. See you tomorrow!"
"Bye!"

Seungmin started taking his peaceful walk home. The weather was nice with the beautiful blue sky hovering over him with some white clouds sprinkled here and there and the colourful flowers surrounding him on the shopping street. He made sure to admire them and take in every colour he saw.

Until he suddenly tripped. As if his field of vision was suddenly smaller and blurry. He could only make out the ground beneath him. Barely.
This wasn't the first time this has happened, but it was definitely worse than what it was before.
He would have thought it was migraine, but there was no headache so this had to be something else.

Slowly he got up from the ground and tried looking around but the blurryness in his eyes wouldn't let him. The texts on the signs were a blotch of colour to him.
Seungmin took out his phone and used the siri function to call his boss.

"Missing me already?" Felix laughed as he stocked the shelves in his small corner store located in the streets of Seoul.
"Lix this isn't the time for joking. I can't see."

Seungmin was slightly in panic. Losing his vision had always been one of his biggest fears.

"What do you mean you can't see?"
"I mean exactly that. I can not see. I tripped and everything's blurry and going like empty. I don't even know how to explain."
"Where are you, I will come and take you to the ER."

A big bonus was that Felix owned the shop they worked at, so he was very much permitted to close the shop early if he wanted to.
He immediately put the cold items in the cold room and made sure everything was in place before rushing to Seungmin's location.

He saw the younger standing at the end of the street looking like a lost puppy.
"It's me don't get scared."
Felix announced his presence before tapping his friend's shoulder.
"Is it still blurry?"
"Yes and it's worse than before. I can see the lights, but everything else is a haze."

Getting to the emergency room wasn't much of a hassle thanks to Felix's help.
Seungmin was immediately taken into examination, considering that eye health is an important part of the human body.
Felix was there for him throughout the entire time.

For the rest of the week Seungmin spent in the hospital, being tested for about every kind of disease and illness there is. And Felix being the kind boss and friend he is, had given him sick leave however much he would need it.

The doctors tried to search for the cause of Seungmin's sudden loss of vision.
They however found none. Not a sign of any kind of disease that would explain a sudden blindness.
So until they would find out something, Seungmin was deemed legally blind and he didn't quite know how to take the news or how to function.
Felix promised to help his friend in any way he could and in fact Seungmin was determined to even go back to work.

Seungmin had a cane he used to assist him with walking until he would be able to get a guide dog.
To him it was a hassle. Constantly bumping into things and tripping over something despite the help of his cane.
Felix accommodated Seungmin at his shop by getting the guidebooks written in braille, putting braille stickers on the phone to help his employee know which button belonged to which number until he would be able to get a smartphone as their shop phone.
