Mark was frustrated that Jisung rejected his request to return Donghyuck bag at his house. Legally, the house was still apart Mark, but he didn't know about it since his mother was lying and even trying to erase Donghyuck existence from Mark's memory even further.
He didn't do much on weekends, he attended his checkups with Dr Kim in the morning, nothing unusual. His ankle was getting better, he cut off the limping for quite some time, which made him proud not to use the crane anymore.
Giselle was asking him out, he was debating on it but if that could fix what's broken between him and Giselle.
Why not just give it a go then?
It was still early in the morning, he glances at the clock, remember that his mother planned breakfast for him downstairs. He went down the stairs slowly, he saw his father's personal office's door was slightly open.
He tiptoed his way down, slightly peeking to see what's going on.
"I thought you were better than this. I won't approve this..."
"Please sir, it's for the best of us."
"This will only comply to you, now throw this away before I do!"
Mark accidentally screeched the door open, making the two individuals turned their heads towards him.
"Mark?" His father spoke, knitting his brow, questioning him.
"Hi dad, I was about to knock."
Mark grinned, shifting his gaze and he was startled to see someone he ought nowhere to be seen. "Jeno!" He exclaimed.
"M-Mark..." Jeno widened his eyes, he was as surprised. He was holding on a file; he then hid it behind his back.
"How are you?" He immediately gave Jeno a hug, the lad wasn't responding to it. In fact, Jeno was too stunned.
"Never better." Jeno scrutinized the surrounding, glancing at Mark's father who darted his eyes at him.
"I've been looking everywhere for you."
Mark patted his shoulder, he sensed Jeno was so tensed up – not that he knows why.
"You alright? I missed you." Mark grimaced, clearing his throat to gather his attention.
"I missed you too, Mark. I'm glad you're okay."
Jeno smiled with his eyes, returning the patting to Mark.
Mark eyes sparkled; he misses his friend. – best friend to be exact.
"I got to go, Mark. It's great seeing you." Jeno bow his head to Mark's dad. He tightens his lips, walking away from them but was stopped by Mark.
"W-wait! Let's join us for breakfast." Mark suggested.
"I really need to get going..." Jeno insisted but Mark was still blocking the way.
"Aww c'mon!"
Mark pulled him by the shoulder, Jeno glances over his boss, giving him a smug look.
"Dad?" Mark raised his eyebrows, cocking his head gesturing his father to help him.
"Come along, Jeno. I bet my wife misses you too." It was like a switch for Mark's dad true demeanor towards him.
Jeno sighed quietly, not to let them see his frustration. He nodded, following them to their kitchen. Mark could feel his uneasiness being around them, making him yearn more to know what's going on between them.
Mark's mother saw them coming, she greeted her husband, kissing his cheeks then proceeded to her son. She then saw Jeno, lowering his head. "I didn't know we had company, come here." She hugged the flustered lad. She then assigns them to their seats, gesturing the maid to serve their breakfast.
