Donghyuck realized he forgot to tell his parents about Mark. Not that they were surprised they were making out but even more stunned to finally thought Mark has come to his senses.
"Mark, my boy. You didn't tell us about it." Donghyuck dad straight away hugged the latter so tight.
"How are you, have you remembered everything?"
"Uhh... I'm ..."
"Dad, don't scare him. And no to answer your question."
The tanned break the hug, pulling Mark by his side. The latter was so confused, but he recalled Donghyuck parents from the hospital – especially his nice and caring father.
"But how...." This time, his mother steps in.
Both parents frowned. Donghyuck chuckled seeing their confused state.
"He didn't remember but I guess his feelings never changed."
Donghyuck lift his gaze up to Mark, he was playing with the older fingers while saying it. Mark beams him a smile.
His parent was just paying him a visit since they haven't been to the stall for quite some time.
The tanned told his parent about everything that happened. – minus the night that Mark spent at his house.
Mark noticed how loving his parent was, they were understanding and have high tolerance for their son.
Well, for them.
"Bring my son in law to our house, maybe my cooking can make him regain some memories." His dad said, laughing to it.
They all giggled and thought it was cute.
"How is your parent, Mark?"
The question from Donghyuck mom changes the whole mood. Mark smiles faded as soon as he heard about them.
"They are... umm-"
"Still the same, Ma. Better not talk about it."
Donghyuck didn't want to offend Mark that way, but somehow the latter knew how deeply it affected Donghyuck before.
He places his hand under the counter which he was seated next to Donghyuck, giving his squishy lap a squeeze.
The tanned darted his eyes at Mark, he tried to remain his composure especially in front of his parent.
"Where is Jaemin?" His mother eyed around, looking for the pink haired lad.
"He got sick, I'd probably gotta run this alone for at least 2-3 days."
"Oh, how sad. I hope he's getting better soon."
Donghyuck hummed to his mother responds, they ended up having the ordered food together.
It was a sweet moment, at least for them- it's like how they used to be with each other, enjoying themselves and problem seems solved.
"Speaking of Jaemin, have he seen Renjun?" Mark leans to the side, approaching so close to Donghyuck's ear to whispers.
"Well, I remember he said that Renjun didn't contact him either. Did something happen?" He muttered back.
Mark relaxes his shoulder before shrugging it out to Donghyuck. He didn't know what happen to them and Jisung was not contactable too so it was really hard for him to figure out what happened.
"Have you guys decided on the wedding?"
Donghyuck mother said while shoving the salad into her mouth, she peered at them.
