Chapter 23

Mark went over to Donghyuck's apartment and find the place empty with no sighting of his expectant person.

Donghyuck hadn't return any of his call or text messages.

Little did he know, Donghyuck was at his parents' house.

Mark never gets the chance to actually visit his supposed future in laws house, so he clearly didn't know much about the whereabouts.

Suddenly his phone rang, and the caller ID was non other than Taeyong.

"Hey, Mark."

"Yes, Taeyong?"

"Are you happen free right now?"

"I'm at Donghyuck's apartment but he's not here. Do you know where he went?"

"Yes, we do."

"Can you please let me know?"

"How about you come to Jaehyun's, we'll talk about it."

"Did I do something wrong?"

"Just come here."

"Okay, I'll be own my way."

Without wasting any more time, he droves to Jaehyun's apartment himself.

While driving, his parent kept on texting him to come home for them to have further discussions of the wedding.

Giselle demeanor also changed, it's like she had forgiven Mark for rejecting her before and she acts all normal towards him.

She even invited him for a date and wasn't even angry that Mark didn't show up.

Is she's up to something?

He shook his thoughts out; everything seems suspicious to him now.

With Jeno finally back at their department, they had few talks and most of it was asking for his friend advice about his decision.

He's still looking for ways to get Renjun, Chenle and Jisung back without proceeding the marriage.

And he recalled their previous conversation at his office.

"I can't seem to trust my own family now, is that something wrong?" Mark heaves a sigh, leaning back on his chair.

Jeno was in front of him, he was relief despite all the crazy things that were happening. His best friend was there to comfort him.

"Go with your guts, I'm sure that'll help."

"I don't even know what to decide..."

"Your parent know best, Mark. Remember, blood is thicker than water." Jeno pats Mark's shoulder, giving him a faint smile.

Mark lifted his hooded gaze to Jeno. Was he trying to explain that he's been on the wrong side of this story.

Though he can't truly comprehends exactly what the sturdy lad was trying to say.

Donghyuck seems too precious to let go. He knows what he's feeling inside, and that was definitely love.

He loves Donghyuck.

Another assistant came knocking, they let her in, she hesitated walks in with the flower on her hand – it was a sunflower.

She placed at the desk saying that it was given as a gift to Mark.

The latter thanked her as she left.

"Who would give me this?" Mark lifts it up, examined the wrapper if he sorts out where it came from.
