Donghyuck was stacking up his old photo album with Mark, though it only been a year. They had kept memories long enough for them to cherish.
He choked on his breath everytime he flipped to next pages, reminiscing all the good time they had stored on the photos.
Getting to see Mark yesterday was one thing, he can't help but feel happy and sad at the same time. Mark still has the same gaze, the same smile, he even noticed how much the latter was staring at him the whole time.
But knowing how he's back with his ex-girlfriend irked him.
Renjun was trying to explain things to him, but he refused to know about it. Mark trusted his family more than even acknowledging him. It's not like he's going to believe in him anyways.
The aftermath discussion was funny as well. Yuta and Jaehyun was basically arguing with Taeyong. Even if Mark agreed to it, they wouldn't want it to be a huge mess.
What if Mark messed up the whole thing by not remembering and embarrass them?
What if Mark did make a good job and that can help getting the couple together again?
Donghyuck chuckled to himself, recalling the whole feud. He then started to clean his photo shelves, brushing and wiping the dust off.
Suddenly, his doorbell rang. "Coming!" He hugged the photo album near his chest, running to the door.
It could've been Jaemin since the lad promised to stop by and accompany him for the night. He opens the door swiftly.
"Hey Jae-"
Donghyuck dropped the album with his mouth opened, seeing the face he was longing for. "M-Mark?"
"Hi, Donghyuck..." Mark stood in front of his door.
"What are you doing here?" He asked erratically, Donghyuck peeked behind Mark in case he had brought anyone that could interrupt his peace. He even shifts his eyes around, looking from left to right to ensure that he was alone.
"I just come to return this for you..." Mark handed him the sling bag that he had kept long enough.
"My bag? I thought I lost this." He took it, trying to wash out his annoyed face.
"Well, you left it at the hospital when I..."
"When you forgot about me."
Nor Mark or Donghyuck could react to that. They kinda stare blankly at each other's feet. Mark felt like he needed to explain, he wanted to get it out his chest.
"There are so many unanswered questions from my life, I need to adjust to it. Everything is bizarre to me."
"Well, I'm not. I was your world, and you were damn much mine." Donghyuck stated, lifting his gaze up to him anxiously.
Mark picked up the fallen album and handed it over to Donghyuck.
"Do you mind if I come in?" He asked.
"S-sure, help yourself. It's your house too."
Donghyuck widened the door for him to enter. He followed behind him, closing the door slowly. Donghyuck showed him the way to the living room.
It was out of nowhere, but Mark being here is too much for him to even think about what's going on. They just met again yesterday and Donghyuck was doing his best to remove himself feeling remorse and hurt.
Now that the man himself is present, he's just going to see how this will end.
Mark paced around the house, old photo of him were hanged on the wall, including his polaroid photo with Donghyuck on display.
