Chapter 4

Beau's POV

It was the next day I was helping with the bodies of the dead as I got the fire going. I looked over at Alli with her dad and Shane probably discussing what the next move is. Also the gash on her forehead that Lori stitched up last night, "You know a picture last longer." Daryl said. "Well cameras don't work anymore." I said. He nodded as saying fair point.

I saw Alli walking over to Andrea when she pointed her gun at Alli which made everyone jump shocked, "I know where the safety is." Alli apologized quickly and scrambled away as I walked over and helped her up, "You sure are my daughter." Rick said. "Yeah I am." Alli said. I stood next to Lori as I saw Alli had the same everything from his mannerisms to his posture, "She's seriously a mini him." I mumbled.

Lori nodded when Daryl stormed over, "You can't be serious?" Daryl scoffed at the two of them. "Let that girl handspring us, the girl is a time bomb." He said. I agreed with Daryl on that but at the same time Andrea is morning the only family she had left, "What do you suggest?" Rick asked. "Take the shot. Clean in the brain from here." He said. "Daryl." I said trying to make him stop. "You and me can hit a fucking turkey between the eyes from this distance." He stated as he stepped towards me but I pushed him back. Daryl looked confused quickly when Lori spoke up, "No for God's sake let her be." Daryl huffed before he went back to work.

I looked over at Jim who Daryl slapped on the face. I got very concerned for the man as he got heat stroke yesterday and hoped he wasn't getting it again. There was yelling again only to see Daryl and Glenn arguing, "Our people go in that row over there we don't burn them!" Glenn yelled getting angry. Alli and I looked at him shocked as Glenn rarely ever yells.

Daryl and Morales dragged the body of one of our people back over to where our people where as I dragged a body of a walker over to Glenn, "You reap of sow." Daryl muttered under his breath. "You know what shut up man." Morales snapped. "You left our brother for dead, you had this coming!" Daryl shouted as he pointed to all the bodies. "Karma's a bitch." I mumbled. Alli slapped my arm, "Ouch." I said. I looked at her only to notice Carl and Sophia standing there both with tears in their eyes, "Sorry guys." I said.

Alli walked over to Jim to help him with some of the bodies. I walked by the two of them, "Are you bleeding?" Alli asked. I stopped what I was doing and looked at Jim, "I just got some on me from the bodies." Jim said. "That looks fresh." I walked over to the two, "Were you bit?" I asked. "No." "Jim." Alli said in a serious and protective tone. "I got scratched during the attack." He stated. "Let us see it." Alli said. "I'm fine." "Show us." I stood behind Jim now ready to restrain him if he didn't anytime soon, "Please." He said looking between the two of us. "Don't tell." I grabbed a hold of Jim quickly, "Shane!" I yelled. "Dad!" Alli called.

Both men ran over quickly putting Alli behind them, "A walker got him." I said. "A walker bit Jim." Alli said. "I'm okay." Jim stated as I held onto him. Rick walked over and lifted Jim's shirt up to show the bite mark. Everyone looked at him as he kept muttering he's okay.

*Skip a few hours*

We were on the road without Morales and his family because they wanted to be with some family in Birmingham so we were off to the CDC or we thought that was. The RV broke down which we had to stop, "How's Jim?" Alli asked Glenn as I walked over. "He wants to be left behind." Glenn said. "He can't take much more can he?" I asked. Glenn nodded, "Every bump hurts him he feels like his bones are glass." We sighed Alli walked over to her dad I followed as did Glenn. 

"I don't think we should the CDC..." Rick was saying. "Dad we should follow his wishes." Alli stated. He looked at her, "We can save him possibly." Lori said. "We don't know that for sure tho mom. He's in pain and he's ready." Alli said. "She's right he is." Jacqui said. "I agree he wants to be with his family." I said. "I hate to say it but the girl is right." Daryl said. I looked at my brother amazed.

"If it were you dad you would want someone to do the same thing for you right?" Alli asked. Rick looked at Alli as he put a hand on her shoulder, "How did you get to be so smart?" Rick asked. "School which you should still learn." Alli said looking at Carl and Sophia. The two of them smiled softly still sad we might be leaving one of our own behind, "Beau help me get him to the tree?" Shane asked. "Sure." I said.

I helped get Jim up and put him by the tree. I stepped back as everyone said their goodbyes. Alli walked over to Jim, "Bye Jim I am sorry for tellin' on you." Alli said. "You were doing what a future leader should do protect those you love." He said. Alli looked down, "From the short time I've known you. You are your daddy's daughter but you are also gonna be a stronger leader than he'll ever be." Alli smiled softly which Jim ruffled her hair, "Also keep an eye on those two they listen to you." Jim said pointing at Daryl and I. Daryl looked behind as I gave him a really look, "I will." She said.

Alli stepped back as I stepped forward, "Hey you stay by her side she's gonna need you one day." "Yeah why me?" I asked. "I know because I saw the two of you sometime in the future runnin' a group of your own." He said. "Just remember tho she's always right." I laughed, "Alright Jim." I said.

I stood up as everyone started walking back, "Oh one more thing." I said to Jim Alli stopping. "Sorry about Daryl he can be an ass but I promise he means well." I said. Jim laughed, "It's alright now go." He said. Alli and I walked to the vehicles I got on the back of Daryl's motorcycle while Alli got in the truck with her family, Carol and Sophia and off we were to the CDC.
