Chapter 11

Beau's POV

I walked to where Carl and Alli were which was by the cows, "Hey Carl do you mind if I steal Alli?" I asked. "We were just about to get lunch." Carl said. "I know but your sister and I haven't been able to have a proper date yet." I said. "Oh okay." Carl said and walked off.

Alli looked at me, "Come on." I said as I had a picnic basket with a blanket. We went to the stables where the horses were at and I grabbed a couple of them as Daryl was also inside grabbing one, "Where you two goin'?" Daryl asked. "Places." I said. He shook his head as I walked the horses outside. I helped Alli up then I climbed up on one, "Be careful." Rick said as we rode by. "We will." Alli and I said. Alli was in front of me as Rick tossed me something which I sent a wink his way. He sent me one back as I opened the box to see what he found on a run with Daryl.

I rode next to Alli now as she followed me in the woods, "Beau what are we doing?" Alli asked. "We're going on a date." I said as we kept going. "I feel like we should be looking for Sophia." Alli said. "Hershel didn't give you the all clear for that." I said. Alli rolled her eyes which I laughed as we made it to a lake with a dock.

I got off my horse and tied them to the tree then helped Alli down off her horse and tied her's up, "Beau how did you find this?" She asked. "The day Daryl asked me for help with Sophia I found this." I said. She turned looking at me, "It's beautiful." She said. "Yeah it's okay." She giggled and pecked my lips, "This can be our spot when we want to be alone." I said. "I like that." She said.

We walked to the dock as we set up the picnic. We ate our lunch as Alli had a book in her hand running her fingers through my hair and reading the book out loud. I looked at the lake then at Alli, "Let's go for a swim." I said. "What?" Alli asked. "Come on." I took my shirt and jeans off as Alli watched me, "Like what you see?" I asked. "Very much." She said.

I fell into the water and came up, "Beau Jason Dixon." Alli said. "Come on in it feels amazing." I said. She just looked at me, "You can wear my t-shirt." I said. She stood up and undressed then put my t-shirt on, "What?" She asked as she had it on. "I like it better on you." I said. She sat down as I swam over holding her hips and helping her down.  I held her close to me then she splashed me which she laughed. I shook my head then splashed her back. We splashed each other for a bit then I caught her in my arms. She looked at me as I held her in my arms her arms around my neck, "I love you Alexandra Marie Grimes." I said. She smiled and kissed my lips which I kissed her back. We pulled back our foreheads against one another then I brought us back to the dock.

We got dressed I turned around as I pulled the box out of my pocket, "Al." I said. She turned looking at me, "Beau we are only..." She was saying. "No, no, no I am not proposing we are not ready for that." She giggled, "So I had someone pick these up for us." I said showing a couple promise rings.

I looked at her, "I never thought someone would make me feel the way you've made me feel ever. I promise to you one day when we have more stability and grown up we will get married. I'll love you forever and always." I said. "I promise to never give up on us no matter what." I slid her ring on her finger. She grabbed my ring, "I love you so much Beau Dixon that I'd be lost without you. You're the best thing that's happen in a long time and I promise to love you and cherish you for as long as we live." Alli said sliding my ring on then her arms around my neck. My arm were around her waist as we leaned in and kissed each other with so much love and passion that it didn't even feel like the end of the world. It felt like it was just the two of us in the normal world.

We pulled back, "Where did you find these?" Alli asked. "Daryl and your dad found them said it was us." I said looking at our hands. She smiled and nodded, "It is." We walked back to the horses and rode back to the farm. Alli rode in front of me as we rode back to the farm.

Alli and I walked together my arm around her shoulders as her's was around my waist, "Walker!" Andrea's voice was heard. Alli and I walked over, "Just the one?" Rick asked. "I bet I can nail it from here." She said. "No, no Andrea put the gun down." Rick said. "You best let us handle this." Shane said. "Shane hold us Hershel wants to deal with walkers." Rick said. "What for man we've got it covered." I sighed and followed them as did Alli as we took off following them.

We got there and I put my hands on my head, "Is that Daryl?" Glenn asked. "It's the third time you've pointed that thing at my head." Daryl said to Rick who had his gun up to Daryl's head. "You gonna pull the trigger or what?" "You son of a bitch." I said. A shot rang out and Daryl hit the ground, "No!" I yelled running over to my brother. "No, no!" Rick yelled. I went over as did Rick only to see a graze, "I was kiddin'." Daryl said.

Shane and Rick carried him back as Glenn grabbed his crossbow, "Is he dead?" Andrea asked. "Unconscious." Rick said. "You just grazed him." "What the hell happened he's wearing ears." Glenn said. I grabbed them and shoved them down my shirt, "Let's keep that to ourselves." I said. "Guys?" T-dog asked. "Isn't this Sophia's?" T-dog asked holding up Sophia's doll.

They got Daryl in the house as I waited outside. Andrea came into the house, "Beau listen." "Why can't you listen?" I asked her. "What?" She asked. "Everyone told you don't and what did you do not listen. What if that actually hit him you would've killed him. What if that hit anyone of us huh?" I asked. "Fucking idiot." "Andrea you best just leave." Alli said. She stormed out then we went to my brother, "You're a idiot." I said to Daryl. "Says you Mr. committed relationship." Daryl said. He looked at Alli, "Congrats by the way." Alli nodded, "You look like hell." "You don't look too hot either." I shook my head at my girlfriend and brother.

The door opened and Lori came in looking at Rick and Alli and hugging the both, "Lori I am okay." "Mom that hurt." Alli said.  "Sorry I was just making sure it wasn't either of you." Lori said. "I am okay by the way." Daryl said "Glad you are." Lori said to him. "How have you people survived this long with how many antibiotics I've gone through?" Hershel asked. "Luck." Alli said. Everyone looked at her, "What it's true." We looked at Hershel as he told us Daryl needs to be on bed rest for a bit, "Also you can sleep with your people if you'd like." Hershel said to Alli. "Yay." Alli said.

We went outside and Dale handed Alli a tent, "It's like your parent's tent so you have a cot and everything." He said. "Thanks Dale." Alli said. I helped her get her tent set up, "Um you can move your stuff in here if you'd like." Alli said. "You think your parents would be okay with it?" I asked. "They'll just have to deal with it." She said. I chuckled then went to mine and Daryl's campsite grabbing my things, "You movin' in with your girlfriend or somethin'?" Daryl asked. "We're rooming together someone needs to keep an eye on her." I said. "Sure." Daryl smirked. I shook my head, "Wrap it please we don't need anyone pregnant." Daryl said and laid in his tent.

I went to mine and Alli's as I saw the cots set up. I pushed the two of them together then tied them also together so they won't slide apart. I then put my sleeping bag on the bottom of them then Alli's on top as a soft laying spot. I saw the blanket Alli's mom had set in here and laid that on top then the pillows. I also hung the lantern we have on a very dim setting up in the middle of the tent for some light at night, "What are you doing?" Alli asked. "Making it more homey for you." I said. "You didn't have to do that." Alli said as she took her shirt off.

She had to change her bandage which I helped her with, "I wanted to." I said. She smiled at me, "I tried my best at least with what we've got." I said. "I was gonna hang this hand towel as a curtain here for us since we're not morning people to block the sun out." She giggled then kissed my forehead, "You are so not your brothers." "Well I am adopted." She giggled as we got ready for bed. I took my shirt off and had some sweatpants on while Alli had my sweatshirt and a pair of shorts on. She laid down and I turned the lantern off then we went to bed.
