Chapter 16

Alli's POV

It's been a couple days since Dale's funeral I was trying to keep busy helping on the farm as much as I can. I was loading a truck up of supplies when someone came up behind me kissing my head and their arm around my waist his neck in my head, "Hey angel." "Hello demon." He chuckled and pecked my cheek, "How you holding up?" He asked. "I am fine keeping busy." He looked at me, "Talk to me if you need to." I looked up at him, "I am okay I promise." He looked at me with a yeah right look. "Hershel said that we get one of the spare rooms." I said. "Really?" Beau asked me smiling. I nodded, "And actual bed huh." I giggled giving him a quick kiss.

Glenn sat on the tailgate of the truck, "What's up?" I asked. "Maggie said I can put my stuff in her room." Glenn said. "I know she talked about it with me." I said. "With Hershel in the house." "Glenn just do it." Beau said. Glenn sighed, "I am going to check on the RV." Glenn said. "Alli, Beau Rick wants ya." Daryl said.

I finished packing our things then we got in the truck Daryl hoped in the back as we drove to the house, "Hey dad." "Rick." "Keep an eye on things for me when we go to drop Randall off." Dad said. "Always do." I said leaning against the porch railing. "We're  gonna drop him off just in Senoia hour there and back." "You'll loose a little light." I said. "We'll be halfway home by then." Daryl said. "Need a third?" Beau asked my dad. "No I need someone to help keep an eye on things with Alli." Dad said. We all looked up at Shane who's working on the lookout tower where the windmill was, "If he as so much as tries that baby isn't your's I am shooting him." Beau said. "Better." Daryl said. "I will." "Carol's finishing putting provisions together for him. Said it'll last a few days." I said. Dad nodded when he looked at my boyfriend, "That thing you did a couple nights ago." Dad said to Beau. Beau looked at my dad, "Ain't no reason you two should be doing the heavy lifting." Beau said motioning to me and dad.

Dad nodded as we saw Shane zipping up the driveway, "Everyone good with the plan?" Dad asked. "Yes sir." I said while Beau nodded. "I don't see you and I trading haymakers on the side of the road. Nobody'd win that fight." Daryl said. Me and Beau chuckled as dad shook his head playfully "I am gonna take a piss." Daryl said as Shane pulled into the driveway. He got out, "We're gonna bring our stuff inside." I said to dad.  He nodded kissing my head then patting Beau's shoulder. We carried our stuff inside to the room and got our room ready.

It was about the time dad and Daryl leave to drop Randall off. Carl and I were reading a comic book in mine and Beau's room when  Beau came running inside, "Randall's missing." Beau said. "What?" I asked. He nodded, "Don't know." "Carl stay here." I said. Carl nodded when I got out and saw Shane with a bloody nose and face outside, "What the hell happened?" I asked. "He took my gun Al." Shane said. I looked at his face, "Okay I am coming with." I said getting my jacket on. "No stay here help keep an eye out here, "Glenn, Daryl, Shane, Beau and I are gonna go look for him." Dad said. I looked to Shane who had a smirk on his face, "Dad I don't know." "We'll be fine lock the house just keep an eye on your mother." Dad said. I sighed as I watched the walk off my gut telling me something bad was gonna happen.

It's been a few hours and dark outside, "T-dog keep an eye on things." I said. "Where you going?" He asked. "Something's telling me some shit's about to go down." I said. "What do you want me to do?" He asked. "Make sure everyone's okay."

I walked to the woods and followed dad and Shane's footprints. I got to the field to see dad and Shane circling each other when a shot went off. I ducked quick only to see dad sit up. I slowly walked over to the two of them, "Dad." I said. He looked up to see me standing there, "Alli." He said as slowly walked over. I looked at him then Shane lying dead on the ground, "You should be back home with mom and Carl." I looked at him, "I...I..." I was saying.

I saw Shane sit up and started walking over to dad who was busy talking to me. I knew it wasn't Shane I pointed my gun at Shane but looked like it was being pointed at dad, "Just, just put the...." Dad was saying. I started tearing up as he kept telling me to put the gun down and let a shot ring out putting Shane down. Dad turned around to see what I did. I put my gun back into my belt and walked over dad looking at me. I started crying as I just shot my uncle which he hugged me, "I am sorry." I said. "You had to do what you had to do." He mumbled and kissed my head.

We started walking back to the farm a low groan coming behind us, "Dad." I said. He looked behind us, "Run." He said. I looked at him, "Go, run." I took off running as did dad back to the farm to warn everyone. We got to a clearing where Carl stood, "Alli?" Carl asked. I picked him up and ran even faster, "Come on Carl." I said as I saw we weren't gonna be able to get a straight shot to the house, "What's the plan?" I asked dad. He pointed to the barn where we ran inside. "Carl what the..." I was saying. "No time we'll talk about that later." Dad said.

I looked around the barn to try to see a way out, "We could go out the top way." I said. Dad nodded when I went to a couple barrels and smelt them, "Gas." I said. "Dump that on this hay signal the house." "Also slow down a few." Dad nodded as him and Carl poured the gas out, "Alli catch." He said. I caught what he tossed and saw a lighter, "Carl climb up." I said. He started to, "Hey kids." Dad said. We looked at him, "I love you." He said. "Love you too dad." We both said.

We started climbing up as dad got the attention of the walkers he let them inside. He started climbing up, "Alli now!" Dad yelled as I dropped the lighter on the ground watching a few of the walkers burn but now the question is how the hell do we get out of here.
