Aj woke up in the morning feeling rather refreshed. He felt good, like today the world would go his way. He sat up in bed and wondered why he was feeling so happy today but there was nothing that sprung to mind. Aj just figured today was just a good day for no particular reason.

Aj hopped out of bed and stretched his soul out before making his way down to the kitchen where Niko was probably sat. It smelt a lot like some sort of heavenly dessert. Once Aj got to the kitchen he was shocked. Niko was cooking?! And it smelt great. Aj had begged Niko multiple times to cook for him but he never would. After Niko's Come dine with me, it was clear that Niko could actually cook but had been hiding it.

"Niko? You're making breakfast?" Aj asked happily.

Niko turned around at the words of his best friend and smiled. "Morning Aje! H- oh." Niko couldn't get his words all the way out as Aj decided to wrap his arms around Niko's waist, giving him a tight hug.

Niko's arms were up in the air, unsure of where to put them or what the hell to do because Aj never hugged him! Niko wasn't sure how long this hug was meant to be but it seemed as though it wasn't going to end anytime soon.

"You gonna hug me back, or..?" Aj whispered a little loudly.

"Oh, right-" Niko quickly turned the fire off the pan from behind him, leant down and put his arms around Aj's back. He hugged the shorter man tightly, pulling him in closer, wanting to make the most of the hug. Aj stepped in further, hugging tighter. He could hear Niko's heart beat, pacing fast. Niko was definitely nervous. Aj giggled at that.

Niko decided only to let go of the hug when Aj does it first, but he hadn't yet. Not that Niko was complaining of course, but it worried Niko that something might be wrong.

"Aje..?" Niko whispered.

"Hm?" Aj was completely comfortable. He and Niko fit in each other's arms perfectly in his opinion.

"You alright?"

"I'm great, why?"

Niko smiled. He did seem like he was in a good mood. "Never mind." Niko brought his arms around Aj tighter, leaning down a little more, wanting to be just that bit closer to his friend. Aj sighed out happily. He never realised how nice it was to have a hug from the people he loved.

"You seem like you're in a good mood today." Niko smiled.

"Yeah, I don't have a clue why. I just woke up happy"

"You don't know why?" Niko repeated.

"Nope."

"Hm." Niko thought. "Can I let go so I can finish making you breakfast now? Not that I'm not having the time of my life right now." Niko said, grinning widely.

"Do you have to?" Aj mumbled.

Niko rolled his eyes "Nah, I don't have to." He kissed Aj's head, his hair smelling refreshing.

Aj moved his arms from Niko's waist to around his neck, tiptoeing to be closer to him. Niko moved his hands down his back and tugged his waist closer. He didn't care if they spent the whole day like this.

Crap, the whole day! Niko remembered.

"Aje I just remembered, I- um... I need to go somewhere today."

"Oh, where?"

"It's just a work thing." Niko was gently stroking Aj's hair at this point. "Wanna come?"

"Sure! I've not got anything planned today anyways." Aj smiled up at his friend.

"Great." Niko placed one last kiss on Aj's forehead before the two men moved away. "You go shower, I'm gonna finish making breakfast."
