So, apparently Niko had some sort of suppressed feelings for Aj the entirety of them living together. And Aj had no clue.

When Aj found out, he was a little bit weirded out to say the least. It's not like he was judging or anything, it's just- Niko was gay? In love with him? It just didn't sit right to Aj. Especially since he was straight.

And so he'd been much clearly distancing himself from Niko, who seemed to be broken by that. He didn't mean to, Aj just wasn't sure how to act around him anymore. He didn't know what to do, if he was allowed to slap Niko's thigh or grab onto his shoulder when a joke was really funny. He didn't even know if he was allowed to be around Niko at times he used to be, no problem. Like sometimes Niko'd be taking a shower with the blinds covering him and Aj'd walk in to take a piss or have a conversation - or both. Point is, Aj would be very uncomfortable if he was asked to do that now.

So what was the solution to that? A road trip.

The idea was presented by Niko who seemed clearly fed up of Aj's constant awkwardness around him now. They decided to drive all the way to Scotland for the weekend, which yeah, would take like 4 hours or more. But both men knew they needed it.

They left the house at like 8PM, completely unplanned. They packed a few necessities, told nobody they were leaving and were out and in the car.

It was now 11PM and there was still two hours left to get to Scotland.

"No because Sharky genuinely can't stomach anything! He's the worst at forfeit foods." Aj laughed, reminiscing in older videos where Sharky kept throwing up.

"Sharky can't handle anything to do with food." Niko chuckled, "Don't you remember how he handled the spice in that one video he did."

"No, he actually looked scary." Aj laughed airily once more, leaning forward to change the music.

Niko glanced over at Aj with a soft smile, not really bothering to keep his eyes on the road since they were going in a straight line. He was happy that they were finally talking again, like normal friends.

Although he was a little upset that Aj rejected him, he guessed there was nothing that could be done to change the man's feelings.

Aj could feel his stare and frowned a little. "Stop staring, Niko." He mumbled.

Niko's eyebrows furrowed and he rolled his eyes. "What I'm not even allowed to look at you anymore?" His grip tightened on the wheel in annoyance and his eyes fixed back onto the road.

Aj sighed, "That's not what I meant..."

Niko scoffed, "Yeah it is. You hate everything I do now."

Aj's head shot over to Niko, raising his eyebrows, gaping at the man in confusion. "That's so not true?!" He waved a hand up in the air in annoyance at the accusation.

"So why can't I look at you then hm? You uncomfortable?" Niko asked, in a sort of tone that was clearly teasing.

"I- what?!" Aj was progressively getting angrier. That they were having such a good conversation for the first time in ages, and Niko had to go and spoil it all because he'd asked him to stop staring? How the hell was that fair on him?! "I'm not uncomfortable, literally all I said was for you to stop staring at me!"
