(This oneshot is like a little more irl accurate, so James, George, Niko and Aj all live together)

Aj's POV

I'm in love with Niko. There, I said it. I'm in love with Niko and it hurts so bad because I just know he'll never love me back. He's in a happy relationship with this beautiful, amazing girl. Her name's Sophie.

And Sophie is just the sweetest girl ever, Niko couldn't have asked for a more perfect girlfriend. She brings gifts for the boys when she comes over and constantly thanks us if we buy her lunch. She insists on paying us back, even when we try and tell her she's practically our little sister now.

She's just so sweet, that I find it so damn hard to hate her. How can I?! I must be heartless to hate such a sweetheart like her.

But let's not forget the biggest reason as to why I know being in love with my best friend won't ever work out. Niko is straight. He's very obviously into women and it hurts like hell. Niko's perfect in every damn way, he's so successful and so kind to his friends. He absolutely deserves a girl like Sophie. But that doesn't take away from the fact that my heart broke every damn time I see them kissing on the living room sofa. My mind would start spinning, and I'd imagine nasty things. I'd pretend that it's me Niko's kissing, not her.

But I know that'd never happen.

So, I've now taken it upon myself to ignore Niko for as long as it takes for these feelings to die. It's been like five months since I realised I fell in love with him, and in that time I've been just so obvious about my feelings that I'm worried my friends will start to catch on.

Kenny seems somewhat oblivious, but its Sharky and Chunkz that worried I'm worried about. Throughout the Beta Squad videos I sort of accidentally find myself staring at Niko from time to time. I can't help it, he's just so addicting to look at. And then Chunkz gives me a little nudge, and asks me what I'm staring at, or why I'm not concentrating. And there's just so many excuses I can give the man before he starts to clock on.

And Sharky's pretty much the same situation, if he ever comes over, he'd catch me staring at Niko from across the room. He wouldn't say anything but he'd just give this glare that I definitely knew the meaning of.

Now, I've held myself up in my bedroom, as I've been doing for a couple weeks. I only come out when necessary, and I haven't spoken a word to Niko the entire time. He definitely seems a little hurt by it from what I can tell. He knocks on my door, with this gentle and worrying call, asking if we can talk. Of course, I deny him every time, because the moment we have a conversation about this, is the day that I know for sure everything will collapse.

And, speak of the devil, there's a knock on my door now.

"Who is it?" I ask, sitting up a little on my bed.

"James."

Ah, that's fine. I don't really have anything against talking to James or George right now, it's just Niko I have a problem with.

"Hold on, I'm coming." I throw the blanket off myself and huff out a sigh as I get up to unlock my door. "Hey, d'you need something?"

"Nope." James says with a playful smirk, folding his arms. "But he does." He gestures with his head, pointing over at the man known as Niko Omilana who was walking down the hallway towards us.
