Aj was the type of person that took great care of his hair no matter what. It was his pride and joy. It made him confident. Aj would love to do his hair, style it, dye it, make brave decisions with it. Every new hairstyle excited him. Although he did dread every hair wash day, he would come out the bathroom looking happier than ever.

Until, a few months ago, Aj broke his arm sparring with Kenny. Since then, he'd try and do his hair with one hand but it would never turn out the way he liked it. So Aj decided he'd just get a stylist to do it for him daily for a few months until his arm got better.

But Aj soon realised he didn't have the actual time to get his hair done daily. Since he woke up rather late most days, and he wasn't ready to sacrifice two hours of sleep just to go and get his hair done no matter how much he wanted to. So Aj decided to narrow it down to a weekly hair session on a day he wasn't so busy. It wasn't as neat as it used to be, so he started wearing hats and caps to cover it up for the time being.

But to make matters worse, Aj had to film a trip to another country with the Beta Squad, which meant he couldn't do his hair at all. He wasn't actually participating in the team challenges because of his broken arm, but Aj was the 'spokesperson' giving out tasks and items along the way.

So, for the entire month, Aj hadn't had his hair done a single time. It caused him to be really visually upset and down. His whole mood had dropped and he lacked energy to do much or be as entertaining as he would be in videos. It got so bad that Aj was no longer bothered to attempt washing his own hair.

The whole ordeal had caused a little awkwardness whenever Aj was hanging around with all his friends a whole month after the trip they'd gone on.

"Hey, Aj, are you doing alright?" Sharky asked. The five members were sat in Aj and Niko's house for a games night that hadn't really taken off yet. They'd been there for over half an hour but Aj was far too busy staring into space and pouting.

"Mhm." Aj grunted in reply.

"He's been like this ever since we got back home." Niko told his friends. He'd been rather worried about Aj's behaviour the past couple weeks.

"I don't get it." Chunkz started. "We came back from Brazil a month ago. Why doesn't he just get his hair done now?"

Being clear that no response from Aj was going to come, Niko spoke up. "I asked him when he was gonna get it done, he told me he wasn't."

"Yeah but why?" Kenny pushed too. He felt kind of bad for the situation Aj was in. It wasn't exactly Kenny's fault that the man broke his arm, since he'd done it in a way that didn't involve Kenny much at all. But Kenny had insisted he spar with him in the first place.

Niko shrugged. "He won't say. But he needs it, his hair is a mess I'll tell you that."

"He showed you?" Chunkz asked, a little surprised. Aj made it clear he wasn't comfortable showing anyone his hair for the past three months.

"I mean I'm bound to catch glimpses of it, I live with the guy." Niko laughed.

Aj groaned, crossing his legs in his seat. "Why the fuck are you all speaking like I'm not right here?!" He asked, rather rudely.

"Answer the questions we ask you and maybe we won't, brat." Chunkz spoke up, matching Aj's tone.

Aj simply crossed his arms and kissed his teeth. Nobody could deny that since Aj broke his arm, he'd been much meaner and impatient. It was really unlike the man, so Chunkz figured the only way to get him to realise what he was doing was to do it back.
