She resembles the sea,
Calm, beautiful, and soothing.
But she hides her own secrets,
Keeping everything below the surface.

"You can't be afraid of what isn't there."
She says as she stares into the unknown.
Which left me wondering,
If she really does think she's all alone.

She's the queen,
With no people to rule.
Her throne is crumbling beneath her,
But she still refuses to move.

She's light weight,
But her heart grows heavy.
The wind picks up,
And she sinks before she can float away.

She wears all black,
But it's her mind that is in color.
She runs towards the sun,
She'll die at the end of summer.

I have been here since the start,
But she doesn't allow others to get close.
She wonders why I'm still here,
Because she's pushed me away the most.

She is my moon,
Only showing one side of herself.
Pulling me in,
But pushing me away, oh so selfish.

She's lost,
But she refuses to ask for directions.
When I find her a map,
I'll give it to her with no hesitation.

I'm constantly asked why I stand for her abuse.
I smile and wave off the insult.
You can't control who you love,
So I will scale the wall she has built.
