With all that I put into you,
You still chose to hurt me.
I begged you to love me back,
But our problems seemed to stack.

My phone rings,
But I wish it was you.
Instead I have to keep my promise to me,
That I will start something new.

I loved you with all that I am,
Even on my darkest days I still lit a path.
Now I'm drowning in my sorrows,
Trying my best to deal with the aftermath.

You hurt me in ways I could not imagine,
You turned my skin different shades of blue.
I loved you so much,
I told everyone it was not you.

My soul intertwined with yours,
Separating them did not seem like an option.
I gave you you every piece of me,
But you only gave me a fraction.

It pains me to say this,
It's hard to look you in the face.
Instead I'll turn my back,
And silently run from this place.

Because when I love you,
It will eventually destroy me.
You'll never notice,
But I will never stop loving you entirely
