Maloi's POV

We went home together from our lunch date with our friends. I insisted on driving Aiah home to Makati since malapit lang naman iyon sa condo ko.

"It's still funny every time na maaalala ko titigan natin kanina!" Aiah said. "We looked so in love!" she said and laughed.

"Sila Jhoanna naman kasi eh, nambibigla ng questions!" she added.

"I know right! I'm sure, hindi na naman nila tayo titigilan ng asar. Ikaw kasi eh!" I told her.

"Anong ako? Sabay lang tayo tumingin sa isa't isa eh." Aiah protested.

"But, your look was deeper than mine." I defended myself. Hindi pwedeng dehado ako rito.

"Na-measure mo ba talaga?" she teased.

"Hindi. I just know that look." I answered with a smirk.

"And I know that look too, Maloi. All too well." she said and smiled while shaking her head.

"The game over look!" we both said at sabay din kaming natawa.

"Thanks for the ride, Maloi! And, happy birthday kay Colet." Aiah said when we arrived in front of her condo. Actually, condo nilang dalawa ni Mikha.

"Luh? You should direct your greetings to her. I won't tell it to her!" I jokingly said.

"Only if you promised to greet Mikha on her birthday too." Aiah said and stick her tongue out.

"The hell. Why would I? I'm not gonna give a greeting to the nemesis." I said and for the nth time today, we laughed.

We laughed, smiled, and looked at each other just like the old times. Parang noong kami pa.

"Not gonna do it either, then." Aiah said. "Sige na, I'll feed our cats pa. Umuwi ka na and prepare a pasabog for the Ace." she smiled.

"Mahihiya kang bumati kay Mikha when you see my greeting pag nagbirthday na siya." Pagyayabang ko sa kanya, taking back what I said earlier that I won't greet Mikha on her birthday.

"Sus! Make sure of that!" Aiah replied.

"Yep, magready ka na." I teased.

"Whatever, Maloi! Umuwi ka na!" she said. "Ingat ka and I'll see you later sa gathering natin."

"You too! Keep your doors locked." I reminded her. "See you later!" I added.

We gave each other a nod as I drove off to my condo. I'm just so glad that we're able to retrieve our friendship after the shitty toxic relationship we've got into. After all, kaibigan ko pa rin siya.

Later in the afternoon, I decided to post a video on IG for my birthday greeting for my girlfriend and it was indeed a pasabog one. Aiah commented immediately.

aiaharceta:

Happy birthday, Colet! :) Grabe namang effort ni Maloi. Have a good one, couples! <3

coletvergara:

Uy. Thanks, Aiah! Grabe nga her effort eh. Salamat!!!

To my surprise, Mikha also commented.

At 8pm, Aiah and I attended a gathering. Our friends asked question that caught us off-guard but we were able to answer anyway.

"When did you know it's over?"

We looked at each other when the question was asked. We exchanged smiles at sabay kaming sumagot.

"When I saw her genuine smiles with her."

There is always going to be someone who will give you the most painful memories to remember. Someone who storms into your life and leave even if you both are doing all too well. Someone who will disturb your peaceful home and will leave you devastated.

That is the reason why typhoons are named after people.
