Dino Birds, Part 1

There is something missing from our world... the amazing animals that time has left behind. But what if we could bring them back?, what if extinction didn't have to be forever?... We're going back in time on a safari with a difference, as wildlife adventurer Nigel Marven and his Toon pals, plunge into prehistory to rescue creatures on the brink of extinction. Their plan is to bring them back to the safety of the present, and give them a second chance. This time, Nigel and the Toon kids will go back 120,000,000 BC of prehistoric China to rescue one of the smallest dinosaurs with feathers that has ever lived, while encountering some giants on the way. Welcome to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary... Welcome to Prehistoric Park.

A big summer heat wave has arrived in Prehistoric Park, and it was making some of the animals a bit uncomfortable. The Dinosaurs of the part were used to the heat, but for the Ice Age mammals, like Martha and her sister Ellie, they were really struggling from the heat. Nigel and his team were watching the pair and the elephant herd from a distance. Ash: "They look like they're struggling..." Nigel: "Yes... I guess there are some flaws on setting the park here... for the heat might be okay for reptiles like the dinosaurs, it's not ideal for the Ice Age mammals... the elephants don't mind it much as they have big ears to fan themselves and no hair to absorb heat... but the Mammoth sister have a thick shaggy coat and tiny ears to contain heart... so they're really struggling..." Melody: "The poor things..." Tommy: "I doubt they're the only ones that are suffering from this heat..." Gidget: "You're right... the Elasmotherium and the Cave Bear are struggling too as they're from the Ice Age too." Jokey: "Yeah, they got fur coats too." Jokey: "Not to mention a big fat." Gidget: "They're not fat, they just got thick fur to make them look poofy." Jokeo: "Whatever you say..." Pikachu: "Pika..." that was when Miss Kanga and little Roo came to the scene. Miss Kanga: "Hello everyone... how are the Mammoths?" Nigel: "Well... they're eating again, but they're struggling from this heat wave." Roo: "No kidding... I feel hot myself..." Miss Kanga: "The poor things... hmm... maybe they could use a haircut." Melody: "Hey... that's a wonderful idea!, maybe the haircuts could help the Mammoths and the other Ice Age animals to cool down." Roo: "Yeah, but it won't hurt them, would it?" Miss Kanga: "I don't think so... though I'm not sure as I never got a haircut before... probably cause we don't grow hair as we're living stuffed animal Toons and all that..." Nigel: "Don't worry, the haircuts won't hurt them... and I think it's a great idea... but I'm afraid that we won't be here to see it as Boney 10's waiting for us in my base." Ash: "Really?, then we better go see him right away." Tommy: "Good idea." so with that, Nigel and his team went off to Nigel's base, where they find Boney 10 feeding a Blue-and-Yellow Macaw, which Nigel and his team rescued from a forest fire in the jungles of South America a few days ago, a little cracker, before the elderly Demon dragon sees the group. Boney 10: "Hello Nigel, hello kids, I see you made it." Melody: "Sorry if we're late or anything." Boney 10: "Don't worry, your timing couldn't be better, I was just spending time with this Blue-and-Yellow Macaw here." Nigel: "Yes, we rescued him from a forest fire in the jungles of South America not too long ago." Ash: "But he seemed rather sad." Boney 10: "Yes... probably suffering the same problem as the Mammoth sisters... he's lonely... and needs some company... which is why I came up with a new mission for you lot." Jokey: "What is it?" Boney 10: "Well... your mission is to go back 120,000,000 BC of prehistoric China to rescue a unique dinosaur with four wings." Jokeo: "Huh?, how could it have four wings?" Boney 10: "It's back legs functions as wings as well as the arms." Jokeo: "Oh..." Boney 10: "It's called a Microraptor, and they're one of the smallest dinosaurs that are like the missing link between birds and dinosaurs." Nigel: "Oh yes... those are one of my favorite dinosaur fossils... this should be an interesting mission... finding dinosaurs that were like the modern birds..." Jokey: "How could it be linked to birds?" Gidget: "Believe it not Jokey, birds are believed to be descendents of the dinosaurs... so in a way... they're the dinosaurs of the present day." Jokey: "Really?!" Ash: "Wow... that's really cool..." Pikachu: "Pika..." Nigel: "Then let's go and get our Microraptors... and hopefully they can be good company for our little Macaw friend here." said Nigel, before he and the others went to the holding pens, before the Time Portal turns on and Melody watched the team getting ready to go. Melody: "Please be careful, okay?" Tommy: "We'll be alright, now you make sure the Mammoths and the other Ice Age mammals get a good haircut." Melody: "I promise... good luck..." said Melody, before Tommy joins Nigel and the others on getting through the portal and arrived in prehistoric China, 120,000,000 BC, a land of forests and a deadly volcano it seems. Jokey: "I hope the astroid won't be around..." Gidget: "I doubt it... for this is like 120,000,000 BC, the astroid hit in the year 65,000,000 BC... we're like millions of years away from that now..." Jokeo: "Yeah... but there is that volcano over there..." Ash: "You're right... it looks a little active..." Pikachu: "Pika..." Tommy: "We better find the Microraptor before lava comes out of that thing..." Nigel: "No... I do believe that volcano will let out Carbon Dioxide... which can be deadly... so the best thing for us is to get up to higher ground..." said Nigel, before he and the others begin their search for the Microraptor. Meanwhile, back in Prehistoric Park, Bob, Fred, and Barney were watching the Ornithomimus flock in their enclosure, with their newly added pond. Barney: "Wow... they're really enjoying their new pond." Fred: "Yeah... you might say they're like Duck versions of dinosaurs..." Bob: "Yeah... they all seemed to love their home... except for that female over there..." said Bob, looking at a lone female Ornithomimus that was keeping her distance from the others. Barney: "What could be the problem?" Fred: "No idea... maybe Nigel might have an idea... once he gets back of course..." Barney: "Or maybe we could ask the girls." Bob: "Well they're busy at the moment, giving the Ice Age mammals a much needed haircut." Barney: "Oh yeah... I suppose they are in need to cool down from this heat wave..." Fred: "No kidding... if I knew this place would get this hot in the summer, I would have brought some sunscreen and brought my swim trunks to go have a swim..." Barney: "Yeah... I could go for a swim too..." Bob: "Don't forget, this place isn't a vacation spot, this is a wildlife sanctuary for extinct or endangered animals." Fred: "Yeah, we know..." said Fred, before he and the other park keepers continued to watch the Ornithomimus flock. Meanwhile, back in prehistoric China, Nigel and his team were still searching for the Microraptors, but so far no luck. Suddenly, they sees something running passed them, and they decided to followed it until the creature finally stopped and begins to nibble on some plants. Ash: "Wow... is that a dinosaur or a bird?" Nigel: "I think it's a dinosaur... but I doubt it's a Microraptor... for they don't have those buck teeth... but I think I have an idea what it is... another strange dinosaur that only lives in this place and time... called Incisivosaurus because of those buck teeth... and I think it's a male because of those colorful feathers on it's body..." Gidget: "Look... there's another one... but less colorful..." said Gidget, as another Incisivosaurus came to the scene, and the first one is trying to show off his colorful feathers to it. Nigel: "I think the second one is a female... and it looks like the male is trying to impress her with his colorful feathers... in hopes to make the female his mate... not only that... I do believe that these two could be the last of their kind..." Ash: "Really?, well in that case... Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" called out Ash, before Pikachu let's out a Thunderbolt attack that hits the Incisivosaurus pair, paralyzing them in the process, allowing Ash to catch them both with two of his Pokéballs. Ash: "Alright!, I caught a pair of Incisivosaurus!" Pikachu: "Pi, Pikachu!" Nigel: "I really wished for a more gentle way to catch those two..." Ash: "Sorry... but the Pokéballs only work better if the animals or Pokémon were weak enough to not break free." Tommy: "He's right, it's one of the rules on how the world of Pokémon, which is where Ash is from, works." Nigel: "Yeah... I know..." Jokeo: "Hey... where's Jokey?" asked Jokeo, who just noticed that Jokey was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, the group hears the sound of Jokey's screaming as he was being attacked by what looked like small predatory dinosaurs. The hyena was trying his best to keep his backpack from being stolen by the predators, who continued to attack him. Tommy: "Jokey!" Gidget: "Are those raptors?!" Jokeo: "Bro!, get out of there!" Nigel: "Jokey, they want your bag!, get rid of it!" Jokey: "No way!, my lunch is in here!" Nigel: "Exactly!, they want the food!, let it go!" shouted Nigel, before Jokey finally lets go of the bag, which was taken away by the raptor like dinosaurs, who ran off to who knows where. Gidget: "Jokey, are you okay?" Jokey: "Uh... I think so... but those things took my lunch..." Nigel: "You're lucky that they didn't see you as their lunch..." Jokey: "Oh... good point..." Tommy: "Well now what?, we don't have food anymore." Nigel: "No... but at least that means those things won't follow us now..." said Nigel, before he and the others went off to continue their search for the Microraptor. Meanwhile, back in Prehistoric Park of the present day, Martha and Ellie the Mammoths were having a much needed haircut from Suzanne and the other girls. Suzanne: "There we go girls... you'll feel much better after this..." Melody: "Yeah, just hold on just a little bit longer..." Serena: "And once we're done with these two, we do the same thing with the Elasmotherium and the Cave Bear, right?" Wilma: "That's right... though I doubt they'll allow us like these two." Betty: "Well maybe... but perhaps some female charm could convince them to corporate." Sylveon: "Vee." Melody: "Female charm?" Suzanne: "Uh... I'll tell you more about it when you're old enough." said Suzanne, before Martha and Ellie let out a big sneeze that almost got the girls covered in Mammoth snot, much to their disgust. Meanwhile, at T-Rex Hill, trouble begins to brew as both Terrence and Matilda, who were now bigger than they were when they first came to the park, begin to try attacking one another due to the heat and in the stage of being cranky teens. If they don't cool down soon, they'll kill one another, which won't be long now.
