Just a bit of warning for the second part. There is a decent amount of Tommy/Buck. Obviously, this is still a Buddie fic but I honestly like Tommy a lot and want to let them work through some stuff together before Buck and Eddie get together. Plus Eddie needs a second to pull his head from his ass (He's a little confused but he'll get it eventually) But yeah so Tommy/Buck and Jealous Eddie in this chapter.
It's been two days since his kiss with Tommy. Buck has decided to wait until after the date to tell anyone about this newfound relationship. Once the date is over then he figures it will have been enough time for him to get his head on straight (Well actually gay but you know...). Then he will tell Maddie, then Eddie, then Hen, and then the others.
He thought that in the morning he would feel weird about the idea of dating a guy or at the very least have a mild panic about a completely new field of dating. But so far two days in and no panic. In fact, he has been happier than ever, texting Tommy throughout the shift when either of them has a moment or confirming date plans for tomorrow during his drive to Eddie's after work tonight.
It felt as though the Universe had taken a massive weight off of his shoulders and helped him uncover a new path to happiness he had yet to explore.
Everyone else notices too.
Hen keeps making jokes for Buck to "Stop texting your boyfriend and get back to work." Which starts when they're all just sitting on the couch in between calls and Buck is caught smiling at his phone at a text from Tommy about their upcoming date and a call he had earlier in the day.
Then Chimney starts in with the jokes too... As always adding to Hen's shenanigans. Having no clue that they were both spot on.
Bobby and Ravi seem to both just be happy for Buck having a new friend and laughing at the shenanigans of the crew.
Eddie.
Well, Eddie... He's supportive.
He really is. He gets it Tommy is great and just last week he was sounding similar to Buck. The thing is... Buck lights up every time he looks at his phone. And now instead of sending that warm bright smile across the couch to Eddie while playing whatever videogame or talking about some random fact he is learning with Christopher, he is sending it to his phone as he types away with whom Eddie can only assume is Tommy.
So maybe Eddie understands what Buck was feeling earlier in the week. The issue is now Eddie has his attention back on Buck as it always is but Buck is still focused on Tommy. So he tunes it out and puts on a smile for his best friend who has a new friend who appreciates him as he deserves. Even if smiling about it is one of the most painful things Eddie has done.

Saturday night rolls around and Buck has gotten back to his apartment after a day spent with Christopher at the arcade.
Buck puts the last touches on his hair throwing on a small dab of cologne when the doorbell rings. It's weird to be getting ready for a date that he is being picked up for. Buck has always been the guy doing the picking up not the other way around.
Taking a deep breath Buck prepares to open the door officially beginning his first date with a guy.
Buck opens the door smiling as he opens the door to Tommy in a similarly dressed-up outfit with pants that fit in all the right places.
Tommy smirks at Buck giving him an equally as eager once over.
"Hey," Tommy says in his grovely voice Buck is beginning to really take a liking too.
"Hi," Buck replies matching smile on his face. He decides at that moment that being picked up for a date is kinda nice.
"You ready?" Tommy asks gesturing in the direction of his truck.
