Kaiden's P.O.V.

The man burst out laughing. 

"I don't know how you know that old hag but you better treat me with respect before I kill this one just for fun." he said as he pointed to me with a fork he has been using to eat.

He has a plate full of food. His attitude shows that he can kill me in no time. Everyone freezes, except Titus, Scarlett and grandma. Scarlett and Titus sit across the table from me. Grandma Mari is still making more food with grandpa Dale at the grill. They know something we don't. Scarlett looks at the man.

"Ivan, you fell for the trap. You can't do a thing if you tried. The moment you stepped past the magic border you were done for. Also, you better apologize to my teacher or she will give you another famous ass beating." says Scarlett.

The man looked at Scarlett and then carefully examined grandma. Whatever he found makes him very pale very fast, as if he were a sick man on his death bed. He moves quickly and kneels down then bows down. 

"I am very very sorry! I did not recognize you! It is just part of my job. Please, I beg you. Do not give me another ass beating!" Ivan exclaimed. 

All arrogance gone. His voice almost sounds on the verge of tears. I can't blame him. Grandma Mari's ass beatings on a normal scale is scary. I don't want to imagine what a famous one is. When she found out that I joined a gang I got a good beating. I thought it was her famous one. She said that it was not even close.

"I accept your apology. Now, go sit and eat. After the meal cancel their request and work for me instead. I will tell you what type of witch I am. Go ahead and tell them as well. I will make it worth your time."

"Spill your own guts before you are forced to." said Titus.

Ivan gets up and sits down right next to me and continues to eat.

"The clan figured you would get to Atlanta, late into the night. After they understood that you left a red herring and didn't arrive there, they hired me to find you and retrace the residue from the fake item. They told me to bring the 2 children and mother. Then kill the rest. They seem to be on a time crunch by the way they are pushing me to find them." 

"Meaning we don't have much time left. The 2 week time I was given was misunderstood. It was at most 2 weeks. At least one. We have 5 days left to figure out that dream and come up with a game plan and stop their plan." said grandma.

Ivan said,"I can tell you where they will summon the evil thing. It will be somewhere in that little town. I think it's because it has plenty of evil going on. It is also small enough that the witches council won't notice anything if something were to happen."

"Kaiden," mom said  in a soft voice as she handed me my phone,"they burned our house down."

On the screen is a video of our's and grandma Mari's houses burning down in a wild blaze. The video even shows water being put on the other houses so they don't catch fire. My heart sank at the sight. 16 years worth of memories up in flames. Mom hugs me and Janet who are on either side of her. I am ready to fight them. 

"I have a place that is safe being prepared right now. It will be ready by tomorrow." says Scarlett.

"How do you know our house burnt down before we did?" asked mom.

"Because I told her. The magic that I had around the houses was destroyed due to them burning. I asked her to house us for a bit. At least until we beat the evil clan." said grandma Mari.

"Scarlett, you copied the bear when you touched it and left it in the house when we were leaving." Janet stated a fact.

Scarlett nodded in response. 

"It reminded you of the doll your own mother made you, didn't it?" grandma asked her. 

Another nod from Scarlett. She looked down as she remembered. 

"Okay, one last thing before we stop with the important topics. Sally, Kaiden, Janet and Titus; are you ready to see the rest of that dream?" asks grandma Mari as she looks us each in the eye. 

It takes a moment before anyone speaks then,"Yes, I am ready to know the truth." said Titus. 

"Ya, I need to understand this, too" Sally says.

I joined, "Me too."

Janet was the last one to answer. We wait a bit for her answer. Then for what felt like a long time she does. She takes a deep breath.

"Okay, let's do this."

She looks scared. Not ready to face it but is going to do it anyway. Grandma Mari sits down as all the food is done cooking, bringing the rest of the food with her. Marco burps.

"SHITTY!" yells Josh,"This is how you do it, Bitch."

He lets out one loud obnoxious burp. Then he stands and bows like he did a show. Everybody was laughing and chuckling. 

"So, granny Mari there are different types of witches. What type are you?" Josh asked. 

Scarlett jumps in after that,"Let me explain the types of witches first before she tells you that. I will start with the common types: fire, wind, water, earth, and light. There are subcategories of each to. There are the rare ones like healing, summoning and time. Time magic is when you are able to use your magic only at a certain time like a season or only at night."

"Next is epic and it's even rarer. There is blood magic, which I am a blood witch. Then sight magic with its subcategories, physical magic, and balance magic with its subcategories. Then there is Legendary magic where one person at a time can have. It is the most powerful magic around. Teacher is one of them."

"Thank you for the unsolicited lecture. Yes, I am powerful. I am the witch of reincarnation or rebirth. I have been around for a very very long time. You could say I am one of the oldest beings on earth." answers grandma Mari.
