Kaiden's P.O.V.

It wasn't too long before it got dark when we left. That was an hour ago. I have been thinking about the events since last night. I can't believe grandma Mari is Crimson Fang's teacher. No, Scarlett's teacher. What did she teach Scarlett? Magic? Does grandma even know about magic? How did grandma even know Scarlett was Crimson Fang when she did not even show herself hardly at all. That name has been known as long as the biker gang has been around and it has been around for the last 25 years. I should ask Janet to find out her age. They seemed close when we headed out to leave. I was not expecting her to be at my house when I arrived. Janet teased me when she saw my shocked face.

I look outside the car window. Trees fly by, I get the back seat to myself. I have a pillow and a blanket. Janet took the passenger seat holding our bear with a small blanket and mom is driving. Grandpa Dale took our 3 dogs in the truck and grandma Mari took Scarlett and Rusty in the van, which is the only place he would fit since he is so damn big. I was lucky to have a day off for my first job. It gave me time to ask for the weekend off. One job fired me and the other gave it to me. I told both it was a family emergency. The one had a complete hissy fit about it and fired me and the other understood.

It was a shock when I heard a small scream after waking up last night or early ass morning. Not sure which one to call it. I went to see if Sally was okay. I forgot something important and that 3 huge somethings growled at me, it froze me in my tracks. Right, Zesty said he had wolves here. Waking up to hear a scream made me forget that part. I saw 3 huge outlines of canines. 2 on the bed one on the floor. Sally turned on her lamp. I heard one less growl and saw the one on the floor make the other 2 stop and move out of the way. Then looked at me with his eyes 'You're going to make her feel better or what?'

Sally looks confused, as if this never happened before.

"I don't know how but you already have one of them trust you. He is newer than the other 2 by 6 months but still very protective of me." she says bewildered.

She is crying badly. I am amazed that she was able to talk. I sit down next to her and console her like I would my sister rapping my arm around her shoulders.

"You saw the woman cut apart her own soul for the first time, right". I ask gently.

She nods her head. My phone goes off in my pocket and it is Janet. I talked to her a bit and then hung up so I could take care of Sally. It is really strange she dreamed that part without me there. Seeing Crimson do what she did makes me think that the foster may be more than just a dog.

A hiccup takes me out of my thoughts. I look down to see honey brown eyes shining due to tears with a messy bed of dirty blond hair. How does she look so beautiful, right now? I am stunned. But I pushed past that and comforted Sally until she calmed down. She actually fell asleep but won't let go of me. She has an iron grip in my shirt. I have a strong feeling that if I moved her hand I would have a disaster on my hands that I could not make right. Instead of trying to get her hand off me without waking her up I scoop her up and settle down at the top of the bed that has the pillows. The wolf, I think that approved of me, pulls a blanket over us the best it can and lays at my back and the other 2 lay right next to Sally. Not long after I fall fast asleep.

When I walked out of her room that morning I got a look from Zesty. He was saying explain yourself before you die. I did as his face said. After listening he said this,

"Okay, I understand. Thank you for being her. Your instincts were spot on. Smart move, otherwise you would have had a very grumpy and bitchy Sally. I made the mistake and paid for it for a whole month." said Zesty.

I am glad I left before she woke up. I didn't want her to freak out. Just then Zesty gets a call.

All the car windows were down just a crack to cool us down without making us cold. I am laying by Janet and can see mom's hands grip tightly to the wheel. I get up and gently hold her shoulder. She looks back with a grateful smile. Her hands relax a bit. We filled the tank up before leaving. Grandma Mari gave us a gas can filled with gas. We are not to stop anywhere. Just go straight to the cabin. We can only stop to put gas in the tank and it can't be too close to people. I don't know how but it's connected. I am burning to know how and soon I will get my answers.

3 hours later we arrive at the cabin. I see we are the last ones here. Grandpa's truck is right next to an old pick up truck and then grandma's van. We pull up the long driveway and I see 3 manly outlines. One grandpa Dale's and I don't recognize the other 2. Before we can get close to the cabin, they leave behind the vehicles quickly as if not to be seen by us. Mom pulled up right next to grandpa.

"Who were they?" mom asked.

"You will meet them later. They are going to help us with this. Head inside and sleep. We will talk and explain in the morning." replies grandpa.

Mom nods her head and waves for me to bring in my sister. I put my blanket and pillow on her and carried her inside. Grandma opens the door for me then opens Janet's room and I lay her down. Grabbing my pillow and blanket before she claims them as hers for the night. The cabin has 3 small bedrooms with one master bedroom that our grandparents take. The kitchen is kinda small but not bad. The living room is pretty roomy. It is a classic looking cabin and very comfy too.

The others must be away in the guest house. That is a good walk from here. Janet did tell us earlier that Scarlett's master shares our dream. Is her master one of the outlines I saw when we pulled up? Could her master be the boss of the gang? Pushing those thoughts out of my head I lay on my bed and pass out. Not before I catch a whiff of lavender.
