The two days passed way to quickly. The introductory classes taught us how to take history. Duh! Yeah!
History taking that's what we had done all throughout the medicine postings, so it wasn't that difficult. Though Surgery had some differences.

Today, we didn't have to seat in the rooms. Today was the Ward day.
We were told to report in ward number 111,to the resident doctor there.
And currently we, thirteen of us, were climbing the stairs to the third floor.

One of our mates, well the topper to be precise, talked with the consultant.
We were told to take the history of a patient and examine.
The case was of an ulcer.

After nearly an hour, we took the history.
Well, it wasn't as easy as it seemed. Because, our patient. He was surely some roaster.
Humare har question ko answer karne ke bajai, sirf roast hi kar rahe the hume.
(Instead of answering our questions he was just roasting us.)

After we were done, we waited.

The consultant, Dr. Shurisha, took our class.
One of our mates presented the case.
"Did you'll do the examination? ", Dr. Shurisha questioned.
And there, we were doomed.
She looked at all of us. And we didn't knew what to answer.
Kyuki.. Humko sikhaya nahi tha, toh humne kiya hi nahi!
(Since they didn't teach us, we didn't do)

Seeing that none of us was answering, she nodded her head in disappointment.

She went inside the ward and talked with few of the doctors and then called us to the patient.
The patient did show the same attitude.
But, the doctors are well experienced to handle it, so Dr. Shurisha made it fine in just a minute.
She then showed us how to examine the ulcer.
And left us, to practice. We did as told.
And then, ma'am acknowledged our efforts and took our attendance and asked us to leave.
Before leaving, we did what the patient had asked us to do for the nth number of time that we were standing in front of him.
To call a doctor, and dress up his wound.
Okay, I know the patient is not at all at fault. Pehle hi uske bichare ke alag problems hai, upar se we are not doing anything good to him, rather than asking him the same questions that every sem must be, so him being irritated is acceptable.

Our Topper, that's Shikha, walked in front, we followed. She talked with one of the doctor sitting there in the ward, who was busy talking and laughing over something, along with the two other female doctors around him. Shikha asked him to bandage the patient. He shrugged our request, as he continued with his talks, as he told us that he would do the needful.

Rude.

Nevertheless, we left.
I and Sara walked to hostel.
Food was calling.
Well, we at hostel, cook. And I usually carry my lunch, since at times the clinics are left late. But today, the morning was hectic and hence I couldn't.

Well, why adding to the troubles you ask. Because, having the mess food is actually next to eating poison. It's that bad. And I am not even exaggerating.
So, Cook. That's the only option that we have.
