~ Few days later~
I never thought life would be this good. But ever since the entry of Shri in my life, everything seems amazing, lively. She gives me that energy, that willingness to experience life as it comes. Well, it's been nearly a month that we started dating. In this span, we have began to know each other more. And believe me when I say, the more that I know her, the more I fall for her. Her sensitive heart, her ability to smile amidst the adversities, that little timidness of hers. She is just so amazing. So different. And so special.
Well, there's this one more thing about her, she'll stress about little little things in life, but face the big-big situations so easily as if it's like plucking a leaf from a plant.
Currently, I was waiting for her at our place. It's obvious now isn't it? Yes, behind the orange building. Well, this place is going to have our moments etched to it forever. It has actually witnessed our love story from the very start.
Well. Being a doctor, is difficult. I hardly get to spent time with her, but even the few minutes that we spend together, suffices. Moreover, she understands. And I can't be more thankful to her for that. There have been moments, when we were spending time together, she was telling me about stuffs and I would get calls to attend to patients or to give information regarding certain patients. And she understands my priorities, my responsibilities.
I know, this is a thing that's going to stay for our entire life. Our profession is that time demanding. But I know, rather I'll assure it myself that we won't turn into my parents. Never.
Just then my phone rang. I removed it out from my pocket. 'Mumma', the screen displayed. Why is she calling me now. Nevertheless, I decided to receive it. I got up, from my sitting position as I received her call. "Kartik! I want you to have a meeting with.. ", Wow! Really Mumma! No hello, no how are you. No concerns at all. Just work.
I didn't even listen to half of what she said. My heart was already dampened with the way she started the conversation. A bitter feeling took over me. I tried. I tried to concentrate on what she was saying. Humming in affirmation, for I got no rights to deny, isn't it?
"Kartik, Kunal will land in Maharashtra anytime. You both will go and meet Dr. Viraj. Convince him. I want him to join us anyhow. ", Mumma commanded. " But mumma, Dr. Viraj.. He'll never lis.. ", before I could complete. " Can't you understand the seriousness here, Kartik? Having Dr. Viraj as a member of KK Lifeline Hospital, will benefit us all.
