In the shadows of my mind,
Where darkness reigns unkind,
I wander lost, alone, confined,
To realms where sorrow's all I find.
Beneath the weight of heavy shrouds,
In the depths where silence crowds,
I'm consumed by whispers loud,
Of self-doubt and fears unbowed.
Each day a struggle, each night a fight,
Against the demons that grip so tight,
And in this endless, hopeless plight,
I'm drowning in a sea of blight.
But in the distance, faint and far,
A glimmer shines, a distant star,
A reminder that no matter how far,
There's always a chance to heal and spar.
So though the storm may rage and howl,
And though I stumble, trip, and fall,
I'll keep searching for that break in the scowl,
For the sunshine through the clouds, after all.
