In the halls of learning, I roamed,

Where dreams of perfection were sown.

Inscribed in every word, every grade,

The relentless call of perfection swayed.

School whispered tales of unreachable heights,

Of flawless grades in the darkest nights.

A symphony of expectations, a flawless score,

But the melody echoed, leaving me sore.

Chained to the earth, bound by their decree,

I reached for stars, but they mocked me.

"Reach higher," they said, with deceitful gleam,

As my arms flailed, grasping at a distant dream.

But perfection remained a distant shore,

A mirage that haunted me evermore.

In the shadows of failure, I found my plight,

A prisoner of standards, a captive of the night.

So I sit in silence, with shattered dreams,

In the wreckage of what might have been.

School's cruel embrace, a bitter potion,

Leaving behind scars, a lasting notion.

For in the pursuit of perfection's gleam,

I lost myself in a shattered dream.

And now I stand, broken and alone,

In the ruins of a life I once called my own.
