Jingliu was looking at the sky lost in thoughts, it has been some time of her lover's departure and after that day, she surrendered herself to Jing Yuan and let herself be put in the shackling prison for a couple of years of isolation before she was set free.

Jingliu wondered as she try to recall the time she spent those within lonely years of captivity in the shackling prison isolating herself in her thoughts and drowning in her sorrow for the lost of her beloved wife. She didn't even bother to reach her out to anyone, even ignoring Jing Yuan's attempts to communicate with her over these years.

At times, she felt like even living itself was pointless now that she no longer has the person she once held most dearly in her life.

Jingliu could only close her eyes beneath her veil as she touched the ring that Y/n gave her long time ago was a bittersweet moment for Jingliu as she felt the sadness as well as the warmth coming from the gift from her beloved.

The ring is a reminder to the happy times that the pair once shared together, but at the same time it also serves as a sign of their tragic separation that left Jingliu with emptiness inside.

She tried to remember everything that she had with Y/n as if to relive those wonderful memories of their past together, but the pain of losing her was still too fresh in her heart that a part of Jingliu just could not bare to open up again at this moment. So she decided that she would come back to this moment later on as she finally pulled her hand away from the ring.

Even after all these years, Jingliu still remained faithful to the vows that she had made with her beloved. She continued to return to the place where the petals landed near the cliff and she would take her time to clean the rust off Y/n's sword every time it needed some repairing.

After her short visit, Jingliu now walks back to the Xianzhou's street, her steps were slow and heavy as if she never really had the will for anything. Even for the brief moment she visited the cliff in hope of reliving her memories with Y/n, she still couldn't find the heart to do anything but just wander the Luofu aimlessly without any clear direction.

Jingliu was so lost in her thoughts that she was completely unaware of her surroundings and didn't hear the sounds of someone running towards the end of a built up wall until they both crashed to one another as they ended up on the ground.

The impact knocked her veil off her eyes and she ended up sprawled on the ground, her hair slightly covering her face as she has grown accustomed to covering her eyes from the light for many years now.

"Oh my god..! Ma'am, I'm so sorry..! Here let me help you."

Jingliu's eyes were still sensitive from the sudden illumination from the sunlight, however, despite that, she could not believe her ears at first that the voice that she heard was actually so familiar to her, to the point that she almost thought that she was hearing things until she saw the person offering her hand in front of her.

When her vision became clear, she froze for a moment, her mind unable to comprehend what was really happening as she realized that the person she had collided with is someone who she hadn't seen for many years.

Jingliu was utterly stunned when she saw the person in front of her look exactly like Y/n as if she was staring at a ghost.

Her mind was still trying to cope with the fact that what she was seeing is real as she continued to stare at the image of an identical clone of her beloved. After what felt like an eternity to her, Jingliu realized she had not spoken a single word for all this time as she finally regained her ability to form a single sentence.

"...Is this the cruel effects of suppressing the mara for a hundred of years now..?"

Despite her negativity, the other girl could only chuckle from this stranger's assumptions.

"Ma'am, I'm afraid you're overreacting a little. Here, give me your hand."

Without giving her answer, Jingliu was caught by surprise by the girl's sudden action to pull her back up, as she was still lost in her own thoughts. It is only when she begins to stand by her own feet before her eyes can finally stare right into the face of this stranger, finding that she is wrong with her assumption.

The girl in front of her truly is her late wife, with the exact appearance, demeanor, and behaviour of Y/n.

Jingliu was even more stunned when the girl picked up her veil and handed it back to her. Not only did the girl look like Y/n, she truly had the exact same mannerism as well. Jingliu found herself questioning the identity of the girl in front of her as she was utterly certain that she was not hallucinating anything.

As her hand came in contact with the girl's hand, Jingliu could feel the familiar sensation of electricity from it. Her breath hitched for a moment before she managed to regain her composure and she finally spoke.

"...I may be going mad, but would you be so kind as to tell me your name, stranger..?"

"My name..? Sure, I can give it to you since I was the one who bumped into you."

"Thank you, stranger."

Jingliu was still completely lost for words at this point as her mind was now trying to fit the pieces together. Did she just meet her late wife's reincarnation? If so, then this would be another opportunity for her to be with her beloved once more. She had always accepted that she would never see her wife again after her death but now it appears that fate itself was giving her another chance to be with her.

With that, the girl just smiled warmly at Jingliu before nodding her head slowly.

"...My name... is Y/n..."
