9. It all just happened

"Lee Do Hyun is the man Han So Hee was cheating with. 28 years old man working in London. Occasionally he visits Seoul as both of his parents are no more. He owns an apartment in Gangnam, where So Hee was seen multiple times going in and out from various CCTV cameras nearby." Jungkook describes his findings to Taehyung.

"Good job detective. I'm impressed. You say you don't know Seoul but look at you digging up nice and easy." Taehyung pats the younger's shoulder impressively.

*Scoffs* "I'm the best in my job and I know it. Where are your findings officer? Did you get something or you went for the chit chat?" Jungkook smirks as he nudges the other.

"Don't underestimate me yet detective Jeon, I'm a social butterfly and I get whatever information I want. I talked to Yoongi hyung. She says he doesn't have much contact with Hobi hyung but I doubt that. I felt like he is hiding something."

"What do you mean hiding?"

"I'm not sure yet but things are way complicated than I imagined. I mean I knew Hobi hyung as an honest person but his actions then seem very much suspicious. Now Yoongi hyung too. I later talked to Jimin, Minho and Yeonjun, well they are not much aware about anything that concerns Hobi hyung, although Jimin occasionally gazed at Yoongi hyung."

"Fvck...do you think they any of them are involved with Hoseok-ssi?"

"I really have no idea what was really going on in the department after I left. Everything is a mess to be frank. It's like I don't even know them anymore. I bet Yoongi hyung is hiding something and I'm 100% sure he contacted Hobi hyung as soon as I left."

"What about Mr Lee? Did you meet him? Shouldn't we report to him?"

"He was not there today. By now, I don't know whom to trust except you."

"Maybe that's why Mr Lee wanted us to work on this case. He might have felt a spy inside the department. He only trust us because we were away from the department last year."

"Yeah you are right. I think the same as well. But right now we don't have any proof to support our suspicions against Jung Hoseok and Min Yoongi's involvement. We can't go based our instincts just like we did with Jongsuk."

"At least our instincts that led us to Jongsuk rewarded us with visuals right. But I do wonder why Yoongi hyung informed us about the footage of Han So Hee and her boyfriend."

"One, to mislead us, divert from actual evidence or something. Two, Give them more time to find their next target and plot some sh!t."

"This is exhausting."

"Yeah I know, but anyhow we have to talk to Lee Do Hyun. Who knows, like Jongsuk, he can give us something helpful. But before that, let find who Jung Hoseok met that evening first."

After hours of formalities, Jungkook and Taehyung were taken to the back office of the bar. The staffs were not sure if they still had the footage that's more than a year ago. Fortunately, they did see the folder that says December 2022.

"Here, check this." Taehyung points out. Clicking on the date of incident, they fast forward to the time in the evening. They saw Taehyung and Hoseok coming into the bar, ordering what looks like whiskey. For half an hour straight, Taehyung was ranting about his wife being a cheater to his work partner.

Some time later Hoseok's phone lights up with what looking like a message notification. He pats Taehyung's shoulder and leaves the latter alone by the bar side. Taehyung was looking almost drunk that time. Jungkook glanced at the elder who stayed silent as he looked embarrassed.
