Waves of emotions washed out Jungkook as he heard Taehyung speak. He couldn't exactly register what the other was implying. 'I mean, what does he mean by he cannot father a child?'
"I don't understand." Jungkook gazed at the elder with furrowed brows.
"I'm diagnosed as infertile Jungkook. I have azoospermia, I cannot produce sperm naturally but we had options like artificial insemination. Yes, it's a big process that we have to go together. I already talked about it to her, I even suggested adopting a baby if she was uncomfortable with the treatments."
Taehyung cast his eyes down disappointed in himself. "You know, I wouldn't have done this if it's she who had any issues like this. I would stayed with her and supported her through all the procedures. After all love wins all right." Taehyung sighed with tears welled up.
"So you...you don't release? Like you don't cum at all?" Jungkook was so surprised by this information.
Taehyung frowned at the other. "Oh God, seriously? After all this agony, your only worry is that I don't cum?" Taehyung scoffed in disbelief.
"No, I didn't mean that. I didn't mean to insult you in anyway." Jungkook caught Taehyung arm, expressing his apologies.
"Why don't you find out on your own whether I could cum or not?" Taehyung smirks, moving closer to the younger.
"What the fvck? God no, hell no. Aren't you straight? Why are you talking like this?" Jungkook moved away from the elder.
"Then stop being curious, asking unnecessary questions. It's none of your business if I cum or not. Ahhh...why do I feel like talking to a kid." Taehyung slammed his hand on his face being annoyed.
'Fvck, I should have asked that. One day I'm gonna get killed by my this stupid curiosity.' "I'm really sorry hyung, I didn't mean to say like that." Jungkook was embarrassed on himself.
"Wait...did you say 6 weeks?" Taehyung asks, suddenly remembering something.
"Huh?" Jungkook had no idea that the elder was talking about.
"Give me that file." Taehyung snatched his case file from Jungkook's hand. "She was 6 weeks pregnant then. We did have sex around that time. Did she sleep with me and her boyfriend same day? Was she trying to make me believe that the baby was mine?" Taehyung got lost in his own thoughts.
Jungkook couldn't bring himself to say a word to the other as he knew how hurtful the entire situation was. When he saw the tears brimming in Taehyung's eyes his heart sank for some unknown reason.
"Hyung, we need to talk to Lee Jong Suk as soon as possible. If you think he is the killer, we must not wait anymore." Jungkook suggested.
Taehyung snapped his head at the younger. "Jungkook." He paused as his face turned into a shock. "If Jong suk is the serial killer, I know his motive. He...his targets are women who have cheated on their husbands. That's why all the victims are married and maybe a few husbands were aware about it, that's why they moved on quickly." Taehyung explained in one breath.
"Wait..I think now it all makes sense." Jungkook picked Taehyung investigation board and placed photos of all the victims and adding Lee Jong suk's photo on top of it. He scribbled the details here and there. Once done, he took a step away from the board to take a look on a wider angle.
"Hyung, look...our killer does have a pattern just like superintendent mentioned. He said it's 1:2:1 but if we add Jihye's death as well, it all makes sense. So this year as well, he is targeting another woman who is cheating on her husband now only to kill her on September, 2024." Jungkook pointed at the board, explaining how the pattern is being followed.
