Epilogue

Two weeks—two weeks is such a long time for Jungkook to get himself together. He doesn't remember the last time he slept peacefully. He doesn't even remember last time he had home cooked meals. He never knew he could work so desperately even after his job as a detective was done. Usually once the case is solved, he just hands the reports to the prosecutors or legal team for further questioning and trial. However this time, he spent all his sleepless nights working with the team to speed up the process.

Two weeks—two weeks is more than enough for Jungkook to realise how much he is in love, how much it hurts to be apart, how much it ached to see the one you love in pain.

~Two weeks ago~

Lee Jung Jae hurt his own nephew thinking that was the woman he abducted. Apparently when was been followed for a long time to watch his moves and the investigation team found him targeting the women. When Jung Jae was plotting for his next victim, the team placed hidden cameras in the woman's apartment park lot, where Jung Jae believed to be blind spots.

Namjoon and Jin followed Jung Jae to the old abandoned school and informed Taehyung to distract him. He sent the location to all of them later.

As planned, when Jung Jae was being called to the department, Yoongi and Jimin helped the unconscious woman, untying her hands and pulling out the clothe from her mouth.

Jin knew Do Hyung before. Obviously they were somewhat like family. His sister was married to his uncle. So it was easy to brainwash the lawyer and convince him to follow their act. They found similar clothes to what the woman was wearing and asked Do Hyung to take her place.

Jung Jae had no idea who was behind the black plastic bag. With little to no light, it was impossible to notice the difference in height and body proportion of the person. When Jung Jae realised that the person he had hurt was his nephew, he was horrified at the sight.

"Lee Jung Jae, you are under arrest for murdering six women and kidnapping one and attempting to murder your own nephew."

Namjoon came into the room from the corridor with his gun pointed at Jung Jae. Yoongi and Jimin jumped in from outside through the window with their guns as well. "You have right to remain silent for now but we shall see how you are going to escape from the crimes you committed."

Jung Jae was startled of course but a second later he relaxed his face muscles. "You have no right to arrest me Namjoon-ssi. You are not part of this case and headquarters." He averts his gaze to Jin. "So you joined hands with him to trap your own family, brother-in-law?"

"You were never my family Jae, you killed my sister. She was my only family. You sent me abroad and made sure I stayed there even for her funeral. You are such an evil bas*asrd." Jin growled in rage.

"Mr Lee, we can definitely arrest you. We are part of the headquarters." Yoongi approached slowly from behind and handcuffed his hand behind. Jimin freed Do Hyun and tended to his wounded wrist. "So everything was well planned huh? Taehyung and Jungkook distracting me, you playing your game...huh, maybe I underestimated my team." Jung Jae knew there is no way out.

I'm a sudden rush, Jung Jae felt a strong punch on his face. "You...you killed her you as$hole. Why did you kill my Jihye and my baby?" No one really saw Taehyung coming in to punch the elder.  "Ah Taehyung-ah, you have always been my favourite. I actually did a favour to you. You know that baby was not yours. Tell me dear, do you want to live in lies and betrayal?"

"It's none of your business and you have no right to kill anyone for their life choices." Taehyung grabs the elder's collar, his eyes rimmed red with tears. Hoseok motioned Jungkook to pull Taehyung away.
