Kate's pov
"Kate!" a voice yells from behind me.
I run across the court and hug Laura. we've gotten close over the past week.
"hi," I smile.
"hi," she says back.
"how are you?" I ask her.
"im good. how are you?" she replies.
"im decent," I say.
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tonight?" she asks.
"I'm hanging out with some girls on the team but you can come if you want!" I suggest
"who's all gonna be there?" she asks.
"just syd, jada, Molly, and Caitlin," I tell her.
"oh," she says.
"what's wrong?" I ask her.
"I don't think Caitlin likes me," she says. "she's also really fucking terrifying."
I laugh. "that day when she was a bitch was because she was upset about everything. about us fighting and stuff. she explained and said that she was sorry."
"oh," she smiles. "good, because she's your best friend and I don't want her to hate me."
"yeah she doesn't hate you," I laugh.
"where are you guys hanging out?" she asks me.
"at my apartment, actually," I respond.
"okay, cool!" she says, "what time?"
"8, you can come over whenever you want though," I tell her.
"my shift doesn't end until 8:15 so I'll be a bit late," she says. "I'll be there by 8:30."
"sounds good!" I say.
"see you later!" she yells, running away.
I walk back over to Caitlin and Molly.
"what did she mean by she'll see you later?" Caitlin asks.
"I might've invited her," I say.
"oh," Caitlin says, looking away.
"thats gay," Molly says.
"WHAT?!" Caitlin yells.
"I meant Laura and Kate," Molly laughs. "chill out."
"oh," Caitlin says embarrassed.
"anyways," Molly says, side eyeing Caitlin. "try not to traumatize me."
"I won't," I laugh.
"seriously," Molly says, "I don't want to have to go back to Michigan."
"if you go back to Michigan the twitter account about your headband will be taken down," Caitlin says.
"that's a risk I would be willing to take," she replies.
"well, you won't need to worry because I won't traumatize you."
"you better not," Molly says.
