"what was that post about?" she asks as we're warming up.
"what post?" I ask.
"the backhanded Caitlin one," she clarifies.
"oh," I realize. "I was being pissy. I took it down."
"I saw," she laughs. "Caitlin looks pissed."
she points at the brunette.
I stare at her with fake anger.
"this game is going to be great," she sighs.
once we get onto the court, I give a look at Caitlin. I want people to think we're mad at each other. we need people to stay out of our relationship.
Hannah wins the jump and Caitlin gets the ball.
she dribbles down the court and sends a quick pass my way.
I shoot a corner three and it swishes in.
the bench stands up and cheers.
Caitlin holds in a smile.
Gabbie gets a block on the other side and passes it to me, as I am still on the other side of the court.
Caitlin sprints down and I pass it to her for a logo three.
everyone is on their feet, screaming.
a girl on the other team makes a layup.
Caitlin dribbles the ball up and passes it to Hannah at the block. Hannah puts it up for an and one.
"YEAHHHH," I scream to Hannah.
she's smiling wide.
"this is a lot better than last time you two weren't talking," Molly says, referring to the five assists I have to Caitlin, and the four she has to me.
we're in the locker room in between halves.
"yeah, I guess," I shrug.
it's now the fourth quarter and Lisa has taken most of the starters out. except Caitlin, who wants a triple double. she is one board away.
a girl on the other team shoots a layup and misses. Caitlin boxes out and gets the rebound.
the crowd cheers as she goes down the court to shoot a three.
Lisa calls a timeout to take Caitlin out so that she doesn't get injured.
there is only one spot left on the bench. next to me.
Caitlin glares at me before sitting down. her hand slightly grazes my ass when she moves her arms.
"That was in purpose," she mutters.
"I assumed," I say as I look over at her with the nastiest look.
