When I was on my way back to my room I thought about the show. Val blew his hypnotizing, smoke magic at me like he does to all of his employees yet it had no effect on me. "I wonder why?" I asked myself out loud. "Could it be the necklace?" I had a small suspicion that the necklace I had gave me the ability to have powers. But, I wasn't for sure.

But, I had a plan. I was first going to wait until everyone at the hotel went to sleep. Then, so I wouldn't be discovered I would test to see if I had powers. If the second step turned out to be true I would sneak out and find a place to hide and practice.

A few hours later when everyone was asleep I was able to begin phase one of my plan. I need to start with something that won't harm the hotel. I thought to myself. I wanted to try fire, but that may be too much to start with, especially inside the hotel. Maybe, water.

I put my hand out in front of myself and focused on the idea of a blue magic which would control and create water. With a little bit of focus a dark blue glow came from my hand. I watched as I formed a water ball.

I moved my hand around controlling the shape of the water and where it would go. I let the blue glow fade, and as it did so did the water.

"So, it worked!" "This is going to be a lot of fun to learn. I have so many powers I want to try. I really want to learn fire. But some other cool powers would be illusion, plants, light, ice, and any other kinds of magic.

I had a motive but it was left to be unknown by the others, especially Angel, at least for now. I can't have him trying to stop me. I care about him and I know what I need to do.

"That show was exhausting, I'm just going to go to sleep tonight and tomorrow I will find a place to practice my powers," I mumbled to myself as I got into bed.
