Chapter Twenty Eight

Angel looked over at me, "ya okay?" he asked. "Nope..." I whispered before passing out. I felt Angel catch me before I could hit the ground.

Angel carried me down into the alley we were in. He sat me down next to him, careful not to push the arrow farther into my leg.

A few minutes later my eyes fluttered open. "How long was I out for?..." I whispered to Angel.

"Not very long, just a few minutes," Angel responded.

I was about to stand up when a huge wave of pain rushed over me from my leg. I cried out.

"I was about to tell ya it's not a good idea to stand up..." Angel whispered.

"It hurts," I whimpered looking down at the arrow stuck in the back of my leg.

"I know, I know," Angel began. "But, we need to pull out the arrow..." Angel trailed off.

My eyes widened, "What?!"

"It's gonna hurt more if you don't pull out the arrow," Angel whispered.

"Can you at least distract me...somehow?" I whispered.

"Yeah toots, come 'ere," Angel said in a flirty tone, a small smirk on his face.

I scoot closer to Angel, wincing in pain each time I move my injured leg.

"What do you plan to d-" I was cut off by Angel passionately kissing me over and over.

Once I was fully relaxed Angel kissed me longer and more deeply as he quickly pulled the arrow out of my leg.

We pulled apart, "Are ya okay babe?" Angel asked.

"Yeah," I whispered.

"Now, we are safe from Valentino and all the others are too," Angel sighed.
