An Unknown Power: Angel Dust x Reader

Chapter Nine

"Heyyyyyyy (y/nnnnnnn) where have ya been?!" Angel asked, clearly suspicious. He spoke while leaning against my open door.

"What do you mean? I've been here the whole time!" "Sureeeee, then explain why ya were sneakin around to get back to your room," Angel continued.

Think! (y/n) THINK!!! "Umm, I was just outside." "That's a fLucking lie",Angel replied. "Where were you?!" Angel crossed his arms.

"Why does it matter to you Angel?" "Did Charlie tell you to ask me where I was?!" "No, Charlie and Vaggie didn't even know you were gone," Angel revealed. "I'm just worried about ya, okay (y/n)."

I created tiny little flames of magic of each color on each of my fingers duplicating a few types. "How are ya doin that?",Angel gasped.

"Heh, pick a color."

"Uhmm, light blue," Angel pointed to the light blue flame.

"Okay, you might want to back up." I let the other types of magic fade away from my fingertips. "Alright, ice it is then."

The magic glow surrounded my hand, I twisted my hand around making ice shards in the air. The more I moved my hand and imagined the ice changing it did. And just like that I let the glow disappear. "Does that explain enough?"

"YOU HAVE POWERS?!! HOW?!!!" Angel exclaimed.

"Oh, just this necklace," I explained, lifting the golden star charm on my necklace. A light blue glow fading from the necklace.

Once the glow fully faded I felt the exhaustion overwhelm me again. It became difficult to stand and my vision became blurry. My idiot self decided to overuse my magic for the second time today.

Angel saw the look on my face,"Sweetheart? Are ya okay?" Angel asked.

"I'm fine, I just used too much magic today. I just need to rest." I slowly tried to walk over to my bed."I think I'm gonna fai-"

"ShLit!" Angel ran over and caught me when I passed out. He had me laying in his lap.

My eyes slowly fluttered open and I saw Angel's concerned face looking down at me. "What happened?" I began.

"Ya passed out. Are ya sure ya're okay?" Angel asked as he brushed a hair away from my face.

It was now that I had realized Angel was holding me in his arms. I felt my face heat up. I smiled as I looked up at Angel, our eyes locking. I had a sudden urge to kiss him, it took all of me to resist.

"Aww, cutie you're blushing. What? Do ya like being held in my arms?"

I couldn't say a word, I was completely and utterly speechless.

"Ya face speaks for itself babe~",Angel teased as he reached for my arms and pulled them around himself.

I leaned against Angel's shoulder and sighed. "Thank you Angel, thank you." I had no idea how much he really cared for me. I mean seriously, we just met yesterday.

Angel gently caressed my face and he lifted my chin so that I was looking into his eyes. Then, he leaned in and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

I was unable to speak again. "Come on babe, can I get one back?" I still couldn't say anything. Even so, I put my hand on one of Angel's cheeks and pulled myself up and quickly kissed him on the other.

"Thanks babe," Angel whispered.

Me and Angel laid in each other's arms for a little while. Just cuddling and chatting.

"Ya never answered my question yesterday when I was walking ya here," Angel stated.

"What question?" I asked, finally sitting up.

"Did ya go cliff diving as a suicide mission?" Angel reasked his question.

"It was just a risk I decided to take, I went with some of my friends. Now that I think about it they probably thought I drowned," I lied to Angel. There was no way I could tell him I died because I wanted to meet him.
