The Outsiders (Jess's story)

The next day.

"Hey Summers!" Two-bit rang as I walked in the door of the Curtis house.

"Hey Two-but!... Oops I mean Two-bit!" I say with a cocky smile. I guess he always wore a Mickey Mouse shirt. It was the same design as yesterday's but a different color.

"Watch it now!" Two-bit said in a playful tone.

"Oh yeah? What'll you do if I don't?" I said with a wink. Before he could answer Dallas came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Hey Two-bit you better watch out! Dally might hurt you if you do anything to her!!" Soda said coming out of the shower.

"I don't know what you mean, man." Dally's morning voice said ringing in my ear. He lets go of me and head to the kitchen. I sit down next to Two-bit on the couch and watch Mickey Mouse.

"He's a player." Two-bit whispers in my ear. I get red as a tomato.

"Whatcha mean?" I say in a confused tone. But I know just what he means. I saw it when we were at the drive-in. Every girl that would make eye contact with him he gave a look to make them blush or would make a sly comment.

"All he wants is... Ya know... Sex. He goes out with a girl for a while then when they do it then... Well he dumps her." Two-bit was just trying to watch out for me. It was really sweet. But I'm sure I can take care of myself.

"Thanks for telling me. I'll watch out." I replied going back to watching Mickey Mouse. Dallas returned with a coke in his hand. He sat on the other side of me. Steve walked out of the kitchen with a face full of chocolate cake.

"So..." I had to break the silence. "What are y'all guys doing today?"

"Work." Steve said with a mouth full of cake.

"Can't you talk after you swallow?" Darrel walked out of the room he disappeared in last night.

"Well that wouldn't be any fun now would it?" Steve said now with an empty mouth.

"Now everyone can understand you!" Soda walked out of the room he shared with pony. "Me and the chocolate grease monkey are going to work at the DX today if you wanna come."

"Sure. That's sounds cool!" I was actually excited about going to there DX. I had passed by it on my way into town.
