Dally's pov.
"She isn't like any of the girls I've been with." I say trying to convince Soda that I told Jess she was my heart.
"That's the corniest thing I've heard Dal. Did you....?" Soda said with his eyebrows raised. I've got a feeling I'm not the only one who cares about Jess.
"No. We didn't. That's how I know she's different."
"You know, I'm glad she is. I've never seen you so much in love. Hell I've never seen you in love!" Soda yelped.
"Alright, now look. You can't tell any of the guys. It'll ruin me. I'm not some softy." I said with a stern face so he knew I wasn't joking.
"It's cool Dal. Just between us. Got it." Soda said sliding out from the car he was working on.
Jess's POV.
"It's just I'm really confused Pony. Has he ever done this?" I asked as I put my face in my hands.
"Honestly. No." Ponyboy said shocked.
"Well why'd he do it this time?"
"I guess your different. I don't know."
"Big favor? Don't tell anyone I told you. Especially Dallas."
"Got it Jess. Just between us."
"Thanks Ponyboy. This means a lot." I said getting up from the couch. "So, what are you doing today?"
"Well, I was going to the DX and meet Dally. You wanna come with me?"
"Yeah sure. I have to go to work in an hour anyway." I said walking out the door. Pony waited for me to change into my DX uniform. Then we headed to the third day in the job.
