(♡Hi, I am posting another chapter this week as promised. This chapter will be pretty graphic and deal with some sensitive subject matter so please be aware. It was a very complex chapter to write but I felt like it was important to the story line. I got a really good comment on my last chapter to add some flashbacks to Timothée and Amelia as children and I will do that next chapter. Please comment and vote and let me know what you guys think! You guys are the best.♡)

(Warning:graphic subject matter, heavy subject matter, mentions of blood, violence.)

Jacob and I walk in the room filled of arrogant people with our arms interlocked.

I hate it here.

I see all the suit and ties and glamorous dresses but I know better than all this lifestyle isn't glamorous at all.

Tom always hosts these events as an attempt to make himself look noble and decent, but we all see him for what he really is.

Timothée left our house after we made love to go pick up Jessica. It's so bizzare to be here next to Jacob with him as my date when just an hour ago Timothée was causing my eyes to roll in the back of my head from pleasure. This whole situation we all are ingets more fucked up by the second.

"I am so sick of these types of people." Jacob grabs a glass of champagne from a waitress on a serving tray.

"Trust me. You and I both." I grab a glass too.

"Timothée give you a hard time when I left?" Jacob asks me as he brings the glass champagne to his lips.

I am so uncomfortable. What do I say?

"Um no actually. He was fine." I try to avoid going into further detail and Jacob can obviously sense my hesitation.

Sometimes I wonder if Timothée and I are horrible people because we have no problem using people like Jacob and Jessica to further our own agendas.

But I do like Jacob...a lot more than I would like to admit to myself.

I think that's what makes me feel even more guilt for not being able to open my heart to him.

My eyes wanders to Timothée immediately when I see his tall and lean body enter the ballroom with a dolled up Jessica holding his hand.

She looks pretty.

Her blonde hair is flowing down to her waist, perfectly waved. She's wearing a silky, light blue dress.

The feeling comes again. Heartache.

Jacob looks over at me and I'm still staring at Timothée and Jessica. He is carefully observing my displeased reaction. Everyone seems to watch Timothée and Jessica with curiosity. They all are intrigued to know about Timothée's girlfriend because after all..he is Tom's son and that alone comes with a heavy sense of responsibility that Timothée never asked for.

I chug the rest of the champagne but my eyes never leave Timothée and Jessica.

"Slow down there Mia. The nights just begun." Jacob reacts.

"That's exactly why I'm starting to drink now. I want this night to be over already." I frown.

Timothée's eyes flicker to mine from across the room before they land on Jacob next to me as he shoots him a disdainful glare. Just by looking at him, I know that he wishes he was able to be here beside me as my date as much as I do.

Timothée starts to make his way over to Jacob and I with Jessica.

I don't think I can do this.
